So im having my glasspacks replaced at a local shop. Since my exhaust is shot to hell they would have to replace the tips and all. They said $160 for dual glasspacks with turndowns or $380 for glasspacks and dual exhaust out the back. Is this a fair price?

seems reasonable to me provided theyre using a quality gp

just order a catback off summit

Don't get the turn downs, it will annoy you and the heat won't escape the truck as well. Opt for out the back or out the sides. Just my 2ยข.
I paid 150 for y pipe to straight pipe to tips out the back. Sounded godly and cheap.
Or alternatively and cheaper, straight 90 out the side from right behind the cab.

Do NOT get exhaust that kicks out to both sides, makes anything sound like shit because of the bank separation. Y-pipe and a straight turndown under the bed can sound good if you have a even mildly worked motor (cams) if it's stock then throw a magnaflow super 10 in there about a foot before the dump. You only need duals if you are pushing 400hp even then it's debatable if just going to a larger pipe single wouldn't be better.. Most people run way more exhaust than necessary and it sounds raspy/weak for that reason.

My truck has always had true duals so i would probably pay more to have it turned back to single

Seeing as youve posted a truck and trailer, have it go out behind the rear tires. That way whenever you are hitching, unhitching you arent getying smogged out. Also 1 pipe will do. The only time ive found true duals handy was when one was smoking. Easier to narrow down the problem.
