Do DCTs require more maintience?
The clutch (or clutches) is still a wear item and sometimes the electronics break.

Yes. More complexity = more points of failure.

I don't know because I got the 5-speed manual, but I got this in the mail.
Fuck off lardass spammer

I also have the 5 speed. This is getting annoying as my car is fine.

You again. Mr. Evo X cock.
I knew that was an evo x
>>17554840
simple answer yes they do.
I've owned 2 DCT vehicles now and the DCT take a lot more more maintenance than a manual and even more than standard slush box. With a DCT you will be changing the fluid and filters every 32k miles minimum. Expect to pay anywhere between 25 to 55 dollars a quart for the fluid and you will need 5 to 12 quarts depending on the transmission. It's been a few years since I owned an EVO MR but I think it takes 8 quarts. After about 50k to 75k miles the clutches will be getting to their last legs and need to be replaced and that should be anywhere between 500 to 1500 for the parts alone, good luck finding a shop to do the work.

>50k to 75k miles
lol nope. Maybe around 200k you'll need to replace the clutch packs.

It's not an evo. It's a fucking ralliart. Laugh at his fat, pathetic ass.

Depends how you drive it. And how much power you put through the stock clutch packs.
