What's the biggest loss you've taken on a car /o/?
Well for the exact opposite, I bought a tacoma for 26k, put 20,0000 miles on it, and sold it to carmax for 26k. Just lost $ on taxes and registration for 2 years
Bought a 93 celica for a thousand. Had it for 4 days, synchros on 2nd blew, spent 1k getting a new old trans put in it, trans had fucked synchros as well, sold it for a thousand

>Bought 240Z for 5k
>Put another 3k into fixing it up.
>Family emergency and reverted it to stock and sold for 3500.
>Still hold some parts, have probably made about 1k back in other part sales.
Had a 1972 Plymouth Satellite for a first car. Spent all the monies making it run. Classic cars still weren't that valuable yet. 2 weeks after spending $1.5k having the transmission rebuilt a Mexican hooning in the neighborhood understeered into the back of it, totaling it. Got $3k from insurance and kept it to sell the engine and transmission at least. Then my dad sold it for $100 when I was at school since the title was in his name.

>Bought a 92' jaguar for 2200
>Water pump failed, 750 for a new one plus labor
>A/C goes out, 1100 for a new one plus labor
>car continues to overheat, 200 dollars for a mechanic to look it over and determine it to be some bank issue
>wants 2 grand to fix issue
>donated car for 500 dollar tax ride off
So....2200+1100+750+200 is 4250 minus a shitty 500$ tax deduction. Learned my lesson - fuck jaguar.
