Ferrari. Lamborghini have literally been born out of butthurt, are scared of motorsports and have produced basically nothing but gaudy boy's bedroom poster cars for the last 40 years. Also they're the go-to brand for babby's first millionaire supercar, so their drivers usually are complete ass hats.

The aventador is truly a peice of art. Have you ever heard an aventador engine in person? Videos don't do it justice.

Lots of aventador owners in my area, and you can hear an aventador a mile away. It has a distinct engine noise. When you hear it, you just know it's an aventador.

Its orgasm to your ears.

Such a beautiful fucking car and the sound of that roaring engine is amazing.

Ferrari. Cars. Racing. Personalities. Lamborghini wish it is as well known. If Ferrari compete in the lawnmower market, i think they may even outsold Lamborghini.

Ferrari. When you want a luxurious, fast car but you have no need to compensate for anything. Just like the saying is "dress to kill" and not "dress to overkill". A Ferrari is a timeless classic blend of sophisticated luxury and performance with no need of overt flashiness or excess.

When you drive a Ferrari, you know who you are. When you have to roar around a Lambo, you are a just made it nobody who is obviously compensating. Have some balls and drive a real mans car.

Lamborghini is very clear in it only cares about looks and looks only, beginning with the aventador and its countless edges. Ever since the aventador was created, lamborghini has put its same engine into 3 different "super exclusive" cars that fetch $3 million+ when each of them are merely aventadors with body kits. Lamborghini is too status-focused for me to choose them over ferrari

>WEC
LMP1 is a dying formula. LMP2 is essentially a spec series since everybody drives the same chassis and engine. GTE only has a combined 9 teams competing between Pro and Am classes. The only big race is the LM24.

>literally any touring car series
You'll have to be more specific since "touring car" can mean anything from some HS kid's '98 Accord to a DTM.

>V8 Supercars.
Only 3 manufacturers. Only ~20 teams. Only notable race is Bathurst. Nobody uses this formula outside of this series.

Ah yes, GT3 being "the most competitive racing everrr" explains why it's the "literally who" of all track racing.

WEC on the other hand is gaining traction. I don't understand where you got "LMP1 is dying" meme when loads of different manufacturers have expressed interest in developing a car for the class.
>the only big race is the LM24
Is that why its viewer numbers are second to only Formula 1?

The only reason people use the GT3 formula in different series is because it happens to be cheap. You can buy cars that are already built for the team, no assembly required. But no-one outside of the GT autism club gives a hoot about GT3s. Viewers are not interested in watching babbys first racing series with third rate drivers.
>high profile race
There are no "high profile races" for GT3s. That's because no-one cares. And why would they with most drivers being washouts from other more respectable series or rookie drivers aspiring to get into WEC or IMSA.

>it's the "literally who" of all track racing.
That's because you don't follow racing at all.

>I don't understand where you got "LMP1 is dying"
Again, you don't follow motorsport so you wouldn't know that LMP1 had 8 teams and 6 constructors during the 2012 inaugural WEC season which was a stark contrast to the 3-4 teams since 2013.

>loads of different manufacturers have expressed interest in developing a car for the class.
Literally one boutique manufacturer and a small British engineering firm. They're basically having Dallara/BRE build the car for them.

>Is that why its viewer numbers are second to only Formula 1?
Not even an argument. You're actually agreeing with my point here.

>But no-one outside of the GT autism club gives a hoot about GT3s.
Spoken like somebody who doesn't watch motorsport at all. Most of the biggest races in the world feature GT3 category cars.

>There are no "high profile races" for GT3s.
You just said that the D24, N24, Sebring-12, Bathurst-12, and Spa-24 are not high profile races.
>>

this, /o/ unironically believes they're going to use 100% of the Ferrari's capabilities. Yeah a ferrari is probably better around a track but I honestly don't give a shit. I want an Aventador.

Also Ferraris are ugly. So are Paganis. They just don't look good in my opinion
>>
>>17556728
>Lamborghini have NEVER had a manufacturer team.
Since when did this matter?

>third party teams
The term you're looking for is "works" or "privateer." Besides, manufacturers have been doing it like that for decades now to which it's become the norm. If I recall correctly, Porsche is currently the only large automobile manufacturer racing in a major GT class with a true factory team. Every other "factory" team is a really just a works team.

>>

What would you know? Clearly your knowledge of motorsports is limited to things that have been memed endlessly by video games.
>>
>>17558322
>muh sour grapes
If that was the case he'd call the Lambos ugly too wouldn't he? It's more a case of bad taste. Both Ferrari and Lamborghini are some of the cars with the most amazing design in existence.
>>

Every door ding or scratch is expensive on those cars.

>>17550755
Nothing is wrong with that?
>>
>>17554155
ever since the Murcielago, Lamborghinis have all looked the same, with the exception of the Veneno, which was actually original for a change

It's not a meme my dude, I just genuinely don't like the look of modern ferraris. I know everyone else does but I don't. I like Lambos and Porsches in terms of the best looking cars. The new 812 is decent looking, if I was in the market to buy a ferrari, which I'm obviously not, that's probably what I'd get. Idk why, I just don't really like the look of them. Some of the older ferraris dont look bad, but for some reason the look of them just doesn't do it for me. Also I don't like the company.

>>17560189
I saw an Aventador parked outside of a Panera last month. It was pretty neat.

Holy shit, think for a second.
You posted about it in another thread, genius.

>explaining what I mean is now moving the goal posts
No, first you posted "Ferraris are ugly", making no distinction whatsoever. Then you amended it to "modern Ferraris".
That's pretty much the definition of moving the goalposts, as your statement's object has changed.

Ferrari and Lamborghini both sell cars to disgustingly rich cunts who made their money fleecing other people/being sandnigger oil sheiks/singing pre-written and heavily autotuned ''''music''' or prancing around on TV.

The difference is that Ferrari has this snooty MUH HERITAGE attitude as though they are somehow the better company. Lamborghini considers owners of their tractors to be 'Lamborghini owners' just like people who own Diablos.

I don't see anywhere where anyone has said that.

I don't actually want one, i'd go for either something like a Caterham (for the driving) or a sick Merc AMG wagon or CTS-V wagon for showing off my fiatbucks while being able to haul friends and stuff around. would rather spend 250k on a sick boat to bang broads on.

>>17561713
a small minority of supercar buyers are moderately wealthy people who just really want a fast car, there's a guy who started his own trucking company near me and went from one guy and one truck to a fleet, big office building and he's got a 918, Huracan and a couple of high-end German sedans in his garage now. He and you are not the people that keep Ferrari in the black tho.

lol, the dealerships blew me off anyway, so I wound up buying from a private seller. Although he was the original owner, so I guess they got his dough.

>>17562210
It might get you a small amount of pull, but it really just depends on availability.
Most of the supercars are pre-reserved for the most valued clients (billionaire types). Buying a GT is probably difficult without paying a significant increase over sticker (as production tends to be around 3,000 or so), while a mid-engine V8 will require less over sticker.

>Buying a GT is probably difficult without paying a significant increase over sticker (as production tends to be around 3,000 or so), while a mid-engine V8 will require less over sticker.
interesting, I never thought reverse bargaining was a thing but it makes sense due to scarcity.
>>
>>17562512
I guess if you've got enough people who'll reliably buy your newest models, you can demand a premium from those who won't.

For a company to even worry about a one-off car ruining their reputation is hilarious and ridiculous, and should be mocked as such.

He should have done his next car with fur like the dumb & dumber car and called it furrari, just to spite them.

it's not about ruining the reputation
if you let people use your brand liberally and don't act on it your trademark rights are at a stake. Not taking action is what leads to brands genericizing. Ferrari's most valued possession is their brand, even more so than their know how.

>>17562780
Not always.
If you've bought new models from them in the past, they may give you the opportunity to buy them in the future, but it isn't black and white.
Basically, they've got enough wealthy clientele to buy up most of their (artificially limited) stock. That's why displacing a guaranteed buyer requires a premium over sticker.
>>
Thanks to the types I've seen owning them, I've grown to associate Lambos as the choice cars for melanin-enriched people as well as the types that are colonizing the entire fucking planet right now as "poor refugees" yet always somehow have the money to buy this shit.

So.......Ferrari. I know modern Ferraris associate with stupid spoiled sluts like the Kardashians and Hiltons, but at least I don't feel like I'd have to apologize for owning one.

>>17555367
>FCA is the master race.

Please. Not once in their entire history did they ever build a halfway-reliable engine until they took over Chryser and got their ghands on Chrysler engineers used to making cars that'll run 100k miles on the odo. And even then their reliability is still a question-mark on most of their cars.

The Gallardo may be a car that'll get you pulled over by cops thinking you're a rapper or basketball player, but among the supercars it's easily the most reliable.
>>
>>17550661
It farts and kicks-back all over the place as it really doesn't like going slow.

>>17553584

Dealers can't even give those things away now because once the twin-hyper-megatron-charged engines get a few thousand miles on them they quickly become high-maintenance money-pit cars.
>>
>>17550653
I thought this had more to do with the fact that Ferrari doesn't let you buy a new car from them unless you already owned them historically.
>>
>>17550760
>4channer

anyone who uses that word and actively tells people they are one should really be the victims of the first real holocaust
>>
>>17565011
Let's say you run an auto manufacturer that has huge demand due to your small supply. There are hundreds of wealthy people who have told you that they will buy your new models whenever they come out, and they do, every time.
With most (all, in some cases) of your supply already spoken for/sold, would you effectively trade a proven buyer on your list for an unknown customer, even if they had the money for the listed price?
>>
>>17565011
Anyone can buy a new Ferrari --- or at least their "interpretation" of new after the factory breaks it in for you then the eternal-shitbag dealers always have to play with the customer's new toys first before handing them over.

You just can't buy the special cars (Enzo, Laferrari, 458 Aperta, F12 TDF, etc) unless you're on the repeat-customer list.

>>17565068
Half of all "new" Ferrari buyers (or what's interpreted as "new") WILL flip the car within one year ow owning it. That's why there's always a steady stream of current-year Ferraris out there with less than 500 miles on each.

In fact my local dealer recently moved a new California with 50 miles on it. It shipped with 45 from Italy, the guy who bought it two years ago and spent waiting got pissed off at waiting an additional week after it shipped before the dealer handed it over while the dealer took it for a shot joy-ride where the guy who was waiting for it saw him playing with his new toy, and got his money back.

Plus car-flippers. There's no shortage of them cashing in on people who want a Ferrari/Lambo/Mclaren/Bentley/etc NOW as opposed to getting on that wait list for their cars to be built. Their impatience raises the prices of barely-used high-end cars.
>>
is project cars 2 the new crysis? i can barely run it on minimum requirments.
