i had a problem with one of the floats whre it was overflooding the carb and pouring fuel out, so we raised it so it stopped, but that wasnt much at all

Sure there are some out these that are a bit shit when it comes to offroad (VFR1200X for example), but loads of the modern adventure bikes are superb off road, they just rarely get used for it. I've seen GS's, Africa Twins, Teneres etc ridden hard like motocross bikes over jumps and rough terrain like nobodies business.

Rode the demo 2017 FZ07 and R6 this weekend at the track.

The FZ07 is a neat little machine, but the R6 is a fucking hoot. Was comfortable on the thing after a few turns and started digging through traffic pretty quickly. I was really impressed with how it felt as a whole, even with street tires.
