all you faggots buy bikes for the same reasons you get tattoos, because you are losers and you think getting bike will change anything and overnight you will be a bad boy and your social life will get better, pathetic.

the only girls you will pick up on a bike are nasty hoes, and a car does what a bike does and 300% timds better,is what mature adults drive.

He took his impala and tried to drive around thinking there was an exit, we keep the new bikes outside all the way in the back. He got to the end, drove over one of our old lifts we left outside, backed into a couple street glides and drove back out, knocking over a sportster a lowrider s (RIP) and a road glide.

I heard him dragging the lift that was still lodged under the car when I was locking up the gate.

I'd post pictures but I don't know if it's a good idea.

I'm in the market for a used bike and I have a couple of questions.

One, how does the VFR800 compare to the VFR750? I had a -96 750F and it was reliable if a bit dull.
Two, is the Kawasaki ZRX1100 any good? I had a GPZ500 once and it was so bad that even after 10 years I'm not sure if Kawasakis are all garbage or not.

Most jap cruisers have a dual crank pin setup which gives you that super steady idle which is why most like the vtx1800, Vulcan 1700, shadow 1100, etc etc don't sound like a Harley at idle or while riding. The road star has the same setup as a Harley with being a single crank pin setup which gives you that heartbeat loping idle and signature Harley sound. Combined with also being a pushrod motor it really sounds like a Harley. It's actually the reason Harley tried to patent their sound back in the early 2000's. They were so assblasted that yamaha one upped them by having a bigger motor producing their signature sound and motor design for a slightly lesser price as their road king.

Nothing against Harley though. I Would love to have a road glide one day.

no the previous owner made it, It's a cut down yoshimura trs, I wish it wasn't black. I'd strip the paint, but it's powdercoat, so I'm not sure how successful that'd go.

>>17548901
Do you want to know why you got heat stroke when it was 115.

You were probably squidin or had as much air flow as possible. When it gets that hot you need to cover up and slow down the air hitting you. There is no way to get enough liquid in you to keep up with the sweat you evaporate at those temps.
>>

I was actually working a bike event for work.

I was drinking a ton of water, at least 2 gallons but I never had to use the restroom which should have been a sign to me. I tore down our booth at 6:00 after being out there since 7:00am. After I tore down I hopped on the trike I brought out there to display in my booth and everything cramped up bad, didn't think much of it and just waited for the shit to pass before I took off on the geyser glide. I made it half way to the shop and felt like I was going to pass out so I pulled over and I started shaking super bad. From there I'm pretty much blank. Next thing I know I'm in an ambulance going to the hospital where I stayed for 2 days. Doctors told me that I came super close to kicking the bucket that day, was brought in with my body temp at 104.9.
>>
>>17548679
No, it's actually a very small amount of bike for the money.

http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/81957/buyers-guide-specs/2016-harley-davidson-sportster-iron-883/

Not shown in the stats: the very hard limit on lean angle.

It's a lot of fashion for the average american aesthetic luddite (hurr cafe racers are the only cool non-harley motorcycles), but not a lot of bike.

As usual, japan reigns king. They offer lower prices because they can afford to run smaller profit margins on their bikes, since they're not their only or most important product, and aren't completely and utterly reliant on a market of boomers that prefers the old look of american "we don't actually know what the fuck we're doing" motorcycle design over modern chassis technology.

>>
>>17549029
Pick a different tire.

Your 160 is probably on a 5" wide rim. It was designed to have a certain profile ( the curve if you look at it from the back ) that makes the bike, lean in and hold a line in a specific way. If you put a narrower or wider tire on there it will not behave properly. Sometimes you get lucky and it's OK, other times not so much.

If you are looking at a specific tire for performance reasons and you put it on the wrong rim and it ruins the performance of the tire, what have you gained?
>>

>>

Yeah, I'm pretty much stuck with the oil injection system because without it the premix won't get enough oil into one of the bearings which causes it to fail. It's a common problem caused by people who just ran premix on this particular bike.

But premix is better than no oil at all in the interim.

whats the point of a literal endurocross bike for riding down city streets?
are the pot holes in your area really that big?

plus dirt bikes are uncomfortable as fuck, the seats are not actually designed to be sat on, 90% of the time on a bike like that you are supposed to be standing up.

What the fuck.

I hope you refused and resat.
>>
>>17550333
So the motorcycle examiners aren't as hard assed? I thought they would be much harder on people but I guess not.

My stepdad got my brother and I a shitty dirt bike when we were young, we've both been riding ever since. Licensing is so easy in Canada it's a joke, I just did the online practice tests over and over then went and wrote the exam and passed in 10 minutes with like 1 answer wrong.
>>
>>17550336
What other bikes can I take off large drops and ramp drainage ditches with, then? The seat is only a minor annoyance. Potholes here are famous, dude. Tulsa. If jumping and carving corners is bad use of the bike, I don't know what good use is. I rode trail for years. I'm used to dirt bikes. Love em. I don't even mind the maintenance.

>>17550344
nah, got myself a big juicy R1200R.
>>
>>17550353
Ill try that thanks, its not as clear here in bumfuck nowhere how to get licenses that arent for hunting or fishing
>>
You guys like my new bike?

>>
>>17550390
it will last forever. I checked, my license says I have one, and it is in the government database.
>>
>>17550358
what a waste lol, jumping off 2ft drainage ditches.
so hardcore bro i bet your city friends think you are crazy.
city people should just be banned from owning dirt bikes, give us all a bad name.

Opinions on bikes that come from the factory looking like cafe racers?

Kinda cool but I wouldn't be creating a bike for myself or saving a nice bike from being stock and boring.

The white one looks nice.

What do you call those windshield fairings?

I got my dad into motorcycles, and he loves it.
He bought an NC750S DCT and enjoyed it for the most part, but he is having trouble with the DCT and is now considering getting a proper motorcycle instead.

He wants something upright that he can reduce to 48hp.
He's been riding for a year and is now strongly considering an Tiger 800.
Other contenders are a CBR650F, BMW F800GT, F800GS and a V-Strom.

Anyone own any of these and could give some advice?
>>
>>17550428

If he reduces a Tiger 800 to 48hp I'm gonna be pissed.
>>
>>17550435
Is it especially neutering?
>>
>>17548295
>any suggestions
Yes, get minimum coverage and don't crash.
Save money for new bike when you do.

Looks very............................................... Indian

>what sort of qualities would you be looking for in your forever bike?
It's a grom
>>
>>17550428
What kind of trouble could you possibly have with DCT?
And nobody will agree to restrict anything that doesn't come with a factory map nowadays

Tell "your father" he should look at http://www.a2bikes.com
Instead of pretending you're not trying to get a bike

I'm actually very happy on my unrestricted SV650 thank you very much.

According to him it gets bumpy when he breaks (I assume he's hitting the throttle while breaking)
>>
>>17550517
Huh uh, still not believing
It does everything by itself, betcha you have it in sport mode like the cuck you are and expect it to feel like a scooter

Need advice: I'm the guy whose R/R died, I ordered a new one today, I'm optimistic it'll arrive within the week.

It all got me thinking, is the R/R the only thing in danger? I read those units don't like to die alone. The alternator seems fine and there seems to be no parasitic load, but what else should I check while I wait?

I have no idea how old the blown unit was.

I'm in the same boat as you. Fried stator, new one coming in, hoping I don't need a new R/R.
