Hey /o/. /k/ here and I was wondering if the willys jeep is reliable and good for general off-roading and driving. I love the aesthetics and I will take any advice for a possible purchase
This is a shit board and you will find nothing of value here.
Sorry to spoil your fun but jeeps are unreliable scrap heaps and suck in general. They are literally just compensation mobiles

Case in point.
Willy's were only successful because of how many they were able to produce. They were quite horrible, like the rest of American vehicles during WW2.
If you're really dead set on a Jeep to go off-roading in, get an XJ, CJ, YJ or TJ. Everything else is absolute trash. If you do go with a TJ, avoid any engine that isn't AMC.

>TJ
>AMC I6
>6-Speed Manual
>an open mind and time
That's all I recommend for a Jeep off-roader's starter kit. Everything else is really up to you, but I'd honestly recommend getting a recovery line and a box of tools in case things get hairy out there. Parts are dime a dozen online, but don't buy into the premium Poison Spyder or brand-name shit unless you're flush with cash in which case go for it mang.

Cant tell what is a bigger pile of shit. Your Jeep or the GM turd next to it.

There are better SUV's for what you want. Jeeps are okay, but not the most reliable. That being said, if you want one, go for it. No car is perfect.

Have you not seen the Post-war test footage of WWII Willy Jeeps? Those shits literally had 0 fucking suspension.
Also, you must be 18 and up to post here. I bet you neither own a car nor firearm, poser.
