I think these are sleepers in the sense that no matter how agile they may have came off as or how sporty they may have looked. nobody thought what essentially looked like an ugly home-made shitbox would be as fast as it was.

Mosler set a challenge rewarding anyone who could beat the car's time on a track he chose and it took a lot of effort before it was eventually beaten.

Aye, where is M5 touring?

There are several reports about BMW is strongly considering a wagon-version of the next M5 to take on the Audi RS6 Avant and Mercedes E63 Estate. However, it's doubtful that such a model would make it to these shores. It is not confirmed yet.

Again, no M5 touring for Americans.

aerodynamics and gearing.
the viper is much lower to the ground and has much less wind resistance, to get the same kind of speeds out of the audi it needs a hell of a lot of power and a short gear ratio.

notice how he doesn't post new viper lap times too, he posts times from a car made in the 90's, its like being proud of a new car being faster than a testarossa.
>>
>>17532204
It's electronically limited as part of an agreement between the big three (Audi, Merc and BMW) to put forward a politically respectable face and prevent a top speed war between them. With the limiter disabled it will do 343kph or 213mph but that's not a fair comparison as it isn't stock at that point.
>>
>>17532219
Notice also that isn't even the top spec RS6+ or the current generation Audi.
>>
>>17532228
Is this real? I mean I've seen this happen numerous times when a less powerful car can do higher velocity compared to a more powerful one. Celica GT vs an Impreza WRX is a good example of that.
>>
>>17532232
The new RS6 is lighter and more powerful, it also has the speed limiter set at 300kph not 250.

All you fags, not realizing that midengine is superior.
>Tfw you put the pedal down and the rear of the car just sits down and grips
>Tfw the car just wants more throttle in a corner so it can sit back on its ass and get even better grip

All kidding aside, I think that's honestly what makes my AW11 so enjoyable to me. The car honestly has more grip when you give it more throttle in a corner (to a point of course). And when the rear does start to go, it's really fighting to come back in line. It's really hard to spin an MR2 out as long as you don't touch the fucking brake in the middle of a corner.
Snapoversteer only happens if you brake midcorner like an idiot, if you pay attention and drive it like you're supposed to, I'd actually say it's harder to crash than something like a Miata.

Honestly, nothing wrong with RWD or AWD. FWD is just like Porsche's rear engine meme. It's really not the best setup but if you do it perfectly it can be really fucking fast (aka Civic Type R and 911 Turbo). RWD and AWD really are the best setups for racing, scientifically speaking, but I still love to see a boosted Civic rip apart a Mustang GT etc.

Some knew what kind of force to be reckoned with the Grand National was. However when 1987 rolled around all expectations were shattered with the GNX. I mean this was a car with a faster 1/4 mile time then the Ferrari F40.

Also unlike most sleepers from the factory it's true performance stats were hidden in an attempt to not embarrass Corvette owners.

>>
>>17534430
I'm not sure. I think I read that they changed the tuning for the final model year (2016?) and it had a lower torque number. If it's slower, I would go for the older models. From videos, its biggest issue seems to be traction, as the TC light is blinking the entire time it's accelerating. It would probably benefit from all-season or even sport tires. It's definitely faster than the Volt.

those look faster than they are, a waker?

Nova TwinCam and Prizm GSi, 4ag powered crapcans
Mazda REPU and RX4 wagon, rotary powered crapcans

And my favorite of the non muscle sleepers.

Dynasty R/T. DOHC lotus head on a 2.2, slap a intercooled turbo on it and put it in a chassis that has no business having a 224hp turbo 4 installed.

>triggered GM shill

Acceleration:

0 – 100 km/h (62 mph): 3.7 sec.
0 – 200 km/h (124 mph): 9.9 sec.
0 – 300 km/h (186 mph): 23.9 sec.

Top speed : 370 km/h or 230 mph (electronically limited to 350 km/h or 217 mph)

Suck it up. lol

I feel you. For what it is my R is quick, 5.5 0-60, but at 3600lb, it's not terribly remarkable in the quarter. Because of the R emblem though, I get every boi-racer trying to take me off the line. I dont consider my S60R a sleeper at all. I had an 850T that was fun but not really "fast"
>>
>>17547553
Yeah. Real fucking slow, broke ass suburb fag.

did a mexican look at you today you fucking sperg?

>I need the same part twice!
are you retarded or just pretending?

there is more than enough aftermarket to make tons of power out of mercedes engines

The car that started the horsepower wars. Now we have family sedans with 300+hp. Based nissan
>>
>>17532257
Implying this matters. As long as the power hits the ground your good
>>
>>17545372
>skyline wagon, not GTR wagon
They made 4wd versions with an rb26dett, that's the gtr engine.
>>
>>17531324
0-60 in under 6. Pretty good for something that size.
>>
>>17549543
I think that it depends how it compares to majority of the cars where you live. Like in here maybe 80-90% are under 200hp and half of them are diesels because the taxes and fuel price.

>they sound mental at full chat

Dear god yes, I was watching on on youtube going through a tunnel and they aren't even an active exhaust.
>>
>>17534527
DELET
>>
>>17532501
Not really, they don't suddenly become a lot more powerful when you remove the 155mph limiter. It will just keep going when you reach 155 as opposed to the car holding it there. No one really bothers as no one drives that fast
>>
>>17549460

Dont forget based Renntech that would be overkill.
>>
>>17542295
they don't look like fast cars but they're fast. That's the definition of the word, cuck.
>>
>>17551394
nah, they don't look slow, only if you are illiterate about cars
a car loses its sleeper status whenever it becomes well known for being fast
