Hi everyone, let me spill the beans.
i'm looking to save up for a 2nd hand Cadillac CTS-V and buy one within the next 4 years, i'll be paying about 62-65k USD for that cos i live in israel and our car prices are depressing.

Here's the thing, i can't have it as my daily since i drive about 70 miles daily to work (35x2) and my current car is a 99 daihatsu charade which doesn't like the hill climbs and the lack of noise isolation is making the driving quality really poor (can't hear music well, the ride is loud) so i don't plan on driving it b the time i buy the Cadi,

Bottom line:
- i need a new daily NOW and i'd like to buy something that can serve me and be a family car for hte next 7-10 years.
-something that doesn't eat up the budget so i can save reliably for dat CTS-V
- the 70miles daily are done ONLY on a highway at a constant 75MPH, almost zero traffic.

I got a recommendation for a rare diesel version of a Skoda octavia (elegence trim) with 150HP which should be both easy on the hill climbs i do to work and fuel economy wise, it's a little hard to find but possible if i keep searching every day (about an 07-08)
But other than that i'm out of choices for something that is quality wise good and will do decent MPG on the highway i'm ignorant. I'm thinking maybe an audi A3 at either 1.6 or 2.0L or go really stupid and get a Cadi CTS (06) and since it's a highway hope i won't be spending tons of money on fuel.

(why CTS-V? cos it's an awesome car that can fit a family in it, it has everything i want and it's a crazy V-8, if anyone knows of a similar car i could also use the info. (not into 2 seat cars).)

It's a second gen cts-v right?
Do they have crown Vics/grand Marquis in Israel?
>>
>>17529039
Nope, none of those here. Barely got any Dodge models, same for the rest of American cars apart from Ford which sells a plenty.
by the time I buy one I think I'll be able to get the 3rd grn currently sold here
>>
>>17529008
So for your DD why not get a honda or toyota? They're pretty reliable
>>
>>17529317
Op here, that guy wasn't me. You mean a Civic or a Corolla? I dunno about Toyota but that 1.8 hatchback or sedan Civic could be decent option. Thanks

Keep meeming as a yuropoor I can asure you that american cars are far far away from garbage

Yep, trust me hondas are really reliable and inexpensive, you'll be fine with it

>>17529525
Most of them have bad build quality, that said they are much cheaper and easier to work on than german cars

It doesn't bother you to think:

Right now, someone is holding her keys in his pocket, right next to his junk. He's gripping her steering wheel, slowly twisting his hand around its contoured edges. He tweaks her volume and climate control knobs and runs his hands up and down her supple leather interior, having to physically restrain his own excitement. Gradually smashing her gas pedal, she squeals for more with every inch. Ripping through her gears with such raw passion that she will never be the same, never again the pristine performance car that she once was. She will always have an Original Owner, the one who first stuck his key in her ignition, lighting her all-aluminum supercharged fire.

Cuck.

>Be Jewish
>Get jewed

I see the whole 'Jews are really the biggest anti semites' thing still applies.
>>
>>17529634
Op here. That ain't jews. That's a socialist gov policy that taxes cars insanely. I believe half of the US population wants that type of shit there.

Well desu the new CTS-V starts at $89k and can be optioned to $120k. For the importation and stuff it doesn't seem all that bad.

I'm not sure what to recommend for a 4 year cheap daily but can give some input on the Cadillacs. I've driven all 3 generations of CTS-V and the ATS-V.

The ride in these things for the 1st and 2nd generation is not as luxurious as you'd think. They take bumps well but you still hear plenty of road noise due to the performance tires. Cadillac's infotainment system has been absolute shit since 2009 and has not improved. The 2nd gen has a billion buttons in the center console and the center plastics is gloss black finger print magnet tier. You have to look for the Recaro seats, they were optional be aware of that. I'm assuming you'll only afford the automatic too, since manuals command a lot more money. I found the auto to be very slushbox like. But when it finds a gear it makes it feel like a rocket ship. Going in straight lines will always be entertaining. The 2nd gen drinks gas horribly if you have any fun with it.

I probably wouldn't recommend the 1st generation. It has a badly designed rear end that is fragile and getting parts is probably worse for you. Since you're on a budget I think a 2005-2006 GTO, or a 2010+ Camaro SS then supercharging them will provide the same entertainment while being cheaper. Better chance of a manual too.
>>
>>17531471
Thanks a lot on the info. What about the ride of the 3rd gen? I could potentially buy the SS or an SL55amg, but those are 2 seaters and I'm trying to get a more stealthy 5 seat car. How do you reckon the gen3 is as a partially daily?

I'm looking into getting a 2013-2015 cts v

>A Jew walks into a Cadillac dealership
>Asks the dealer "do you have them in used?"

All jokes aside, the CTS-V is an absolute beast. Why not just attempt to get the V wagon though? Family car plus nutso for you. If you're worried about the cost of gas I'd say you probably shouldn't be buying such an expensive and rare (for you) car
>>
>>17535479
I wouldn't want the wagon even if they sold it here. It's cheaper just owning a daily and the cts-v than spending the cts-v milage on long shitty and boring work drives. Both oj fuel and on wear&tear. I'm just a nigger jew trying to fulfill a dream and drive a nice car. I fucking live in a place surrounded by Arabs trying kill me. Arabs killing themselves all around me, and half the world and internet saying not jokingly that Hitler was right. Can't a fucking dude get some peace and d comfort in this God damn life? All the while niggers in the us are whining about rasism. Man fuck those bitches. Women giving me shit. Career is tough.
I just wanna drive a nice car with a V8 before I grow old and slow and my dick stops working. Isn't that the reason why we're all here in this board?
>>
>>17532641
The Camaro SS is a 5 seat car technically. There is also the Chevy SS sedan. It has magnetic ride standard. Probably not tuned like a Cadillac but I bet it still rides nice. It is a Holden in Australia. LS3 engine like the Camaro. The 3rd gen CTS-V was hands down the best CTS-V. Everything is very refined. It's a bigger car than the older CTS too while weighing the same because it's on an improved chassis.

>>17535442
The Second generation is good too. The radio system is worse, the interior is a bit tacky/try hard to be what I consider luxurious, it's still up scale. Such as the cheap looking analog clock and the fake leather dash. The nav screen's ability to raise up or slide into the dash is cool I think. Performance wise they are heavy. They beat a lot of things out of the box but they don't respond to mods like a Camaro ZL1 or Corvette Z06 would.
>>
>>17537688
Thanks for the info man. I'll look into those SS models :)
Tbh my biggest beef with American muscle is that it's almost all automatic, I just don't get it
