Redpill me on Alfa Romeos /o/
Specifically looking at a 2007 159 2.4 diesel pic related
Can get it for 4800 euros
Idk much about them. are they fuel efficient? Does it break a lot and costs a lot to repair/maintain? Should I get it or not?

Kill you are self

thanks for the bump

They are not really fuel efficient, if you can get a +09 facelift model. Repairs and maintenance isn't really more expensive than any other similar car. Brakes and all the normal wearing parts are easily attainable also.

I dont think I can find any at the moment

Many owners of thses fuck themselves over by expecting regular midsize sedan tier running costs (ie Ford Mondeo). In reality, they are more in line with a 'premium' (ugh) sedan like a 3-series or a C-class. Nothing crazy, just more than most owners calculate.
Parts are expensive, many technical solutions are rather complicated.
So make sure you avoid one of the many neglected examples.

Yep. Nice until something breaks and the you need 1,000 E to get your 4,000 E car back.
Be lucky.

oh actually i was looking at an e46 too
does that mean it fits in the same category?
I guess i dont want to pay a lot for parts if something does break
Guess I should just get a mazda 3 or something
they are ok on fuel
the 159 in theory is a lot better than the previous gen.
i would still avoid selespeed cars though. if its manual go for it! it's a lot more special and bettter looking than a dumb e46
and dont forget to get it a set of prodrive wheels!

E46 or a w203 are a far better choice
Depends on what you are looking for
If you want a sportier car get the e46 and if you want a cruiser get a w203
2.2cdi on the w203 is amazing and you can get a 2.7cdi if you want muh torks
Some bmw diesels suffer from swirl flap problems
Also you can try looking at w211 but you will need to get lucky because they suffer from air suspension leaking and brake system

yeah its a manual
so you say go for it this guy doesnt >>17528680
eh idk what to do
i guess i could always pick the safe one and go mazda 3 but i want something fun too

alfas are not rational decisions
you get one because they're cool and beautiful
otherwise get a civic
go for it op
