how fucked am i? I let my oil run alittle bit below the fill level on my dipstick, it might of been like that for a month. I haven't noticed a low pressure or high temp issue.
I drove like a quarter mile to a gas station to get oil and when I took the cap off of the oil fill there was steam comming out (I assume).
I have to take it on a long drive tomarrow. should I expect major issues?

might as well put sand in your engine and call off the drive.

Ignore that other asshole. As long as your oil pressure isn't low you generally should be OK. You might wanna figure out where your oil is going, though. And yes, a little vapor coming out of the crankcase on a hot engine is normal.

That isn't a meme it's a picture.

My guess is a main seal or piston rings. Just something OP has to keep an eye on.
Low oil is significantly better than too much oil.

Your PCV is eating oil. Perfectly normal.

lubricate your car's engine with PST
i believe in you

Not very. Oil pressure's more important. How old is your car, OP? If it's old, it's not too uncommon to start burning oil as the engine gets worn. If it's new and it's losing oil somewhere, you might want to track that down.
Otherwise, just keep a spare quart in your trunk and check it every so often. Might want to look at those oil treatments too. But only if your car is old. Don't ever put that shit in a new car.

alright. I thought it was fine. but I got worried about that and started to panic. that puts my mind at ease

it's a 2001 chevy suburban with 350k miles on it (original engine) so I would assume it's burning oil, but I guess it might be doing it faster than I previously thought it would.
You're finished. Sell your car now. It might not happen today or even in a month, but your engine will blow soon.
