these are all economy cars made to be sports cars. in terms of sports cars, its better to buy a sports car made to be an economy car.
This is coming from a GTI owner, so as a bias I recommend the Golf R bc the interior is really 10x better than the ford and Honda junk. but hey osme people really think that focus RS and type R wont hit trees just the same anyway. do what you want, but don't buy a hot hatch if you want a sports car. if you want to buy a hot hatch for the practicality, the interior is where you will be spending a majority of your time, so this is where I recommend the golf R.
focus rs obviously
3k civic with some tasteful mods
1. Civic Type R
2. Focus RS
3. Golf R
Truthfully would do a WRX STi because I couldn't buy any of those for close to MSRP (maybe the Focus RS, I've even heard of people having a hard time buying a Golf R 6 speed at MSRP).
Wait for the AWD Civic Type R they are working on
veloster turbo rally.

Thisssss
Golf r has better EVERYTHING , besides lacking some driver feedback that the focus and Civic may offer (read: punishing ride quality)
And really if you're buying a fucking hatch to race/track, you're buying the wrong car
