well the engine blew last year, paid like 2,100 for it to be fixed, and the cooling system replaced, and it's acting up again, and always has a hot burning smell. The ralliart is a 2.0 turbo with AWD. Same engine as the Evo so of course it's not getting good gas mileage.

I would buy whatever comes in manual. It would be the most reliable for Mitsubishi.

I just want to upgrade. I would like a backup camera for sure too. I've saved enough over the last 10 years by driving the civic in the ground, its time to upgrade, I've put enough money into it. I lost the appeal of fixing it like half a decade ago. Getting a new-to-you car just feels so refreshing ya know? Like I'll actually want to wash it inside and out, vacuum every speck of sand and dust out of it every weekend. My hoopty has spilled milkshake in it from like 3 years ago.

I don't mind driving to OC or anywhere within 2 hours or so. I just don't know what year/ make/ model I want. I just want a Jap car with 4 cylinders, FWD or AWD, and under ~15k. Preferably under $12k.

So does Mitstubishi make a shitty economy car or is this thing at least on par with a Nissan Sentra, Mazda 3, Subaru Impreza, , Ford Focus? Chevy Cruze?
