>US: most v8 cars switched to v6
>EU: most manufacturers are moving toward electric meme
>Japan: only high end lexus, Land Cruser gxr, Patrol have them
Are we witnessing the end of the V8 engine?
maybe the end of its ubiquity
Gm still makes the best v8 ever
Is GM dare I say /ourguy/
with an average of 14 miles per gallon i hope so. soundfags need to get bent

>Implying no. of cylinders have anything to do with fuel economy and displacement or fuel system
You're an actual retard

*and not
V8 option in every make and model? Yeah, that's going away. V8 standard for any fun car? That's staying
>Be Dodge
>"Hurr 4000lb Challenger a shit and slow durr"
>add a bigger engine, making it both heavier and faster
>"W-what? No! I have forced induction and less displacement! Suck on that!"
>destroke it and add a blower, making it still heavier and faster and the most powerful new car for under $80k
>"Stop! Much race car! Still can't beat my stripped rice machine! It's got V-TEC yo! Vape naysh!"
>strip the car, add features even promod racers don't use, make it one of the most powerful cars ever produced and still under $100k
>"JDM! GERMAN ENGINEERING! AMERIFAT! BOAT! I WANT OFF THIS RIDE!"

>Gm still makes the best v8 ever
I didn't think the GTR had a V8
>>17493053
nope, Nissan dominated LMP2 with the VK, not GM
I think as long as the lineage of the Mustang, Challenger, and Camaro are going as strong as they are, the V8 will still have a seat at the table. We also forget that Lexus IS still producing V8 engines in the RC and LC. So to answer the main point; no the V8 isn't going Anywhere.
Onto my next point, once Ford actually unveils what will be under the hood of the GT500 (we've heard anything from a TT 5.0 to an NA 7.0) I personally believe that they'll be back on top on the American muscle car scene.

Also there are 4 bangers that are absolutely horrid when it comes to fuel economy. Also rotaries.

Not while the Coyote engine exists.
