Anyone else here own a Range Rover Classic?
Just picked up this 1990 as a second car/ project vehicle. Its got some issues, a/c is inop (leaking hose), the ABS is dead, and the suspension/ bushings need some attention.
Its a really cool truck though, have always had a fondness for them.

For how much? I'm still kicking myself for not getting one when it was selling for 3k.
>>17486531
yeah I know same here. Paid 8500 for this one. It was a one owner truck, with all receipts back to the dealership since new. West coast truck with zero rust.
Been hunting for one for a couple years now. Most are either completely trashed or they are super nice and command $15k+
Dont see losing money on it, as the prices are only going up on them. Even out here in CA they are rare, I only see one in the wild maybe once a month.

Not bad, body is in pretty good shape, congrats on the truck.

Thanks,
Looking forward to fixing it up over the coming months. Already have several boxes of new parts waiting to be installed. My plan is to slowly but surely make it 100% again.
Nice vehicle. How many miles and what kind of engine?

183k miles,
the 1990 was equipped with a 3.9l aluminum block V8. Its pretty anemic nothing like the newer models. 178hp/220tq.

This
Honestly, OP should consider a 350 swap just so parts are cheap and plentiful

understand your point,
But I am somewhat of a purist, and plan on keeping this rig stock. Its only going to be a weekend driver anyway, so the lack of power isn't too concerning. Not to mention with the values of these on the rise, having a nice sorted original example will bode well in the event I ever decide to sell.

Good god, that interior looks immaculate. 9.9/10 find OP
>>17486663
Yeah I'd rate the interior a 9/10 except for the drivers seat. It is pretty torn up. Eventually will get around to having it reupholstered. This truck obviously rarely had any passengers.
the awesome part is everything works. All the power windows, door locks, lights, sunroof, even the headlamp washers squirt. Once I get the ABS, a/c, and the suspension bushing sorted it will be pretty close to 100%
Nice RRC. I have been daily driving my 1987 for a few years now. The ride and visibility is amazing.
Nice of you to keep it stock. It's going to be a nice truck for you.
