What is the point of having an air intake on an electric car? Is this actually for cooling or is it for the condenser?

you tell me, does your laptop battery ever get hot on your lap?
>>17480607
Well, a Tesla is liquid cooled. Most laptops aren't (I don't think).

still need a way to exchange heat with the environment
To air cool the massive Tablet.
cooling for the batteries
cooling for the electric motor
A/C
it doesn't need much hence the tiny grille but it does need some

You're right. However, Laptop batteries rely on contact with air to cool them down. Were it to be in a tight enough space with no ventilation, it is safe to say that it would overheat.
The same principle applies to an EV; there must be a way to transfer heat away from the batteries (and electric motor?). A water-cooling system (such as one that is used on a high-end computer or engine) still requires airflow to transfer the heat away from the radiator.
Although, I suppose that a frontal intake on the front is not essential. The radiator could possibly be mounted on the undercarriage, possibly lowering airflow but improving aesthetics.

You're a special kind of stupid

>that pic
I liquid cooled my 290 and it's the only choice for it.
It could also be aerodynamic at high speeds to reduce front wheel lift.
Also it would look like shit without it.
Why the positive camber alignment on the wheels?

What happens when the liquid gets hot? Then what happens?

Good Goy!

you are one special and dumb mother fucker.

Cooling, ventilation.

This is the intelligence level of the average Tesla fanboy.

Better handling.
