Made some cash chasing crypto gains, looking to buy a Mustang.
They are for sale between $6-20k in my area. Budget is <$10k.
I am ingnorant as fuck when it comes to cars. I've been doing my own research, but I figured some people here could drop some knowledge on this for me.
Anything I should be concerned about with this car?

My mom has a 2005 GT convertible and it's great. The crash performance is very good, and it's fun to drive. The back seat is pretty small, and the rear headrests don't come up high enough for passengers of above average height. The front seats don't go back far enough for taller people. I'm 6'1" and I'm a little bit cramped in the driver's seat.

Fug that.
I've been driving a Toyota Echo since I was 17. I'm 25 now, and want to upgrade from my high school car.

Oh yeah, also the vinyl on the doors might peel off. It's a common problem. We had a shop glue it back on after stripping away all the old foam, which had turned into powder.

>Driving a Toyota Echo for 8 years.

Dude, it sucks to be poor and have to drive your mom's old Toyota, but now I have the sick $$$ gainz and can afford to live a little. Feels good brehs.

Dont blow all ur profit on a car retard, especially if u still live at home or somewhere not good.

Nigga, of course not. I made a lot of money, this is but a fraction of it.

Get the 2011 GT, 410 horsepower for 15K.
Spend $7000 on a nice numbers matching fox body then but the remaining ~$3,000 into heads, cam, exhaust maybe a little wet shot but keep all the original parts. Keep your Echo for daily driving.
As /biz/ I presume you want something that will appreciate in value.

Damn, I would love to turn this into an investment. Truth is, I'm such a noob, I don't really know what exactly you're talking about, but i will look into it. Anyone know a good place for a noob to go to find out about modding cars/Mustangs?

Numbers matching means it's all original. Find one that's practically perfect. Fox body is the third gen, 1979-1993. Currently rising in value notably. Lots of variation available in the platform. There are pretty standard mods that get done on them any decent mechanic will be able to do them pretty cheap. You COULD just drive it stock and it would be an even better investment but it wouldn't be very fun to drive.

Thanks for the info!

Mustangs are great dd/sports cars
The v6 and the gt both have a big modding community behind them. Even if you get a v6 (like me) you can still get some serious power out of it

First vehicle you buy should be a truck as you can use it for work/hauling shit for cash should times get hard.
