what are some budget performance cars
A gtr
>>17467107
This is the king of budget sports cars
>>17467107
If you had 120k to pop, I'd say go for it, the Viper is a fantastic car
But I think OP meant 'budget' in the sense of sub-50k, in which case it's probably better to build instead of buy
>>17467104
This is probably the only photo in existence where the GTR doesn't look like a morbidly obese block of cheese.
Would a hellcat be a budget performance car? I see them going for 46k used, that's a shit ton of performance for that price.
>>17467104
Ford puma.
mx5 with 1.8l + turbo.
Can get 350whp on stock internals @ 24psi, for 6k.
>>17467983
24 psi there is absolutely no way that can be reliable
>>17467475
Viper ACR if you want a god track car.
GTR or vette if you want a fast car that's tolerable to drive on the street.
>>17469839
i run 24 psi on a stock 2.0t. ive only blown one motor so far in the 2 years ive had this setup.
>>17467983
how the fuck do u run 24psi on stock internals lol that shits doomed to explode bro
but 350hp in a miata is pretty dobe
>>17469878
>ive only blown one motor so far in the 2 years ive had this setup.
>>17467129
Blood Alcohol Content Mono
>>17467129
Wow it's that close? I didn't know the Viper was that impressive
>>17467962
Wait for the ZL1 to come down, for track purposes it blows it out of the water
>>17470014
This will take a lot longer to happen.
Dodge is mostly likely killing off the hemi in 2020 and discontinuing the Hellcat next year. They do this so in 2020 they can try and sale you a Hellcat twin turbo V6. I don't see GMC ditching the V8 anytime soon. The Hemi is such an outdated engine and Dodge has basically maxed everything they can get out of it. New EPA and fuel economy laws are going to fucking destroy Dodge.
>>17467461
The 86 and BRZ are both pieces of shit
>>17469878
>ive only blown one motor so far in the 2 years ive had this setup.
>>17467104
The GTR is the retarded fat chick of the supercar world
The NSX is the only girl in your highschool programming class who's interested in tech that no one paid attention too but suddenly got hot after graduation
>>17467129
>0-100kmh 4 seconds
>0-60mph 3.5 seconds
What?
>>17471574
The GTR started off like the NSX in highschool, except in college she got fat because she spent all her time in front of a computer shitposting on /o/
>>17471580
from 96.5 to 100 in 0.5s
>>17469884
They come with oil squirters and forged cranks from factory. As long as you have a good tune and good enough intake/fuel set up, they can take it.
Awesome little cars if your cheap and lacking any dignity
>>17471574
>50% higher price
>only faster by .7 seconds on the Mazda speedway
I'm into fat chicks now.
>>17470579
Are you not aware of the Demon? 840 fucking hp, the SRT division of Dodge is run by madmen. Hemi is not going anywhere anon.
>>17472648
>50% higher price
>both cost $150k
What did he mean by this?
>>17472680
>tfw you get blow the fuck out by a Demon when they were still testing them around the factory
>>17472682

>>17472700
Don't be a nigger, the GTR Nismo costs like $175k and is the only one that can actually compete
>>17472682
They didn't test the NISMO version you dumb dumb. To make it fair it was the base model GTR (and the softened 2017 model at that lel) vs the NSX.
>>17472716

I wasn't even talking about the Nismo, As much as i like the look of the NSX, it's just not optimal.
>nissan fuccbois ruin another thread
>>17472722
Serious question, with that sweet torque vectoring motor shit in the NSX, why isn't is better in the turns?
>>17472680
>Hemi is not going anywhere
The gas guzzler tax is going to skyrocket because the hemi cannot be made any better for fuel efficiency, it's maxed. The hemi is completely outdated. I'm sure SRT can keep cranking out more HP but when the new EPA laws hit, the price is going to cost Dodge too much. It's a well known rumor that the 2019 Challenger facelift is going to include a v6 turbo. A twin turbo V6 Hellcat will be able to produce the same HP as before. I love superchargers but when it comes to efficiency, turbos are far superior.
>>17472729
Shit tires. It's also down on power, that engine can easily make 200bhp more without trying
The GTR is at the end of its life, but the NSX is just waking up
>>17472742
>I love superchargers but when it comes to efficiency, turbos are far superior.
Only if you drive off boost, and no one ever does
I heard rc cars were all the rage these days
>>17467104
Pretty much any Evo you can get your hands on.
Except the one in the pic. Unless you class £50k 'budget'
>>17467104
mustang GT performance pack
camaro ss 1le
>>17472742
You dont pay attention do you. Trumps overturning obama's c.a.f.e mpg hike. Gas hogging pigs aren't going anywhere.
>>17467455
The only correct answer
>>17472753
thats all regulators care about though dude.
>>17473113
Epa laws are in affect till 2024 retard.
>trump supporters this stupid
Bmw 335d
0-60 in 4 8
40mpg...
Budget.
Performance.
...car.
>>17473113
Do you pay attention? In 2020 the epa laws are getting much harsher. The hemi cannot meet the new law standards so that gas guzzler tax is going to be ridiculously high.
>>17474416
Not if the president has say in it.
Which he does. That's why the hemi, lt and coyotes aren't going anywhere.
>>17467104
buy a 5.0 mustang
