Because there is no market for a generic supercar-looking thing that costs $450k before options. That's more than Aventador money for a Ford.

The thing is, the Ford GT isn't all American. Neither is the corvette but the GT even less.

A full American car doesn't stand a chance against something that has European parts. It's just not fair. Too many parts and define its handling are European.
