I will never not be mad at payware car shit. I'm fine if you have a place for donations, but there's so much wrong with it in total. They don't own the content, there's no guarantee of quality, there's no accountability or actionable ways to get the content updated for the game, there's no consumer protections. There have been a few donationware mods where you had to donate to get it. One that comes to mind is the full version Lake Louise mod but that wasn't done over Patreon and it seems like the mod was taken down for whatever reason.

I don't get why mod teams don't just make Patreons as sort of tip jars. Release mods for free and just link your patreon when releasing it for people that want to support you. Maybe give them very slight improvements or early access to your mods as a thank you.
The Luccaring for AC is a great example. The mod itself is free, but if you donate to the maker he gives you higher resolution textures. It only changes it for you and you can still join servers even if the host doesn't have them. And it's not something that drastically changes the gameplay on the track, as it still looks pretty even with slightly lower res textures

I'm aware my abilities aren't noteworthy and I have no intention of putting the blame on controllers, difference in experience or anything else. I've been practicing whenever time allowed me and simply joined some races in the meantime to enjoy racing with people I could communicate with, instead of random lobbies.
I don't really enjoy ruining races for others unlike a few people here that I noticed are into that, thus why I refrained from joining Turnleft afterwards as well.
As you recommended, I was planning on skipping on the upcoming races until I feel like I can hold my ground, so I'll make sure to join back in by then. Till that time, I'll still hang around the [spoiler]shadow government chat[/spoiler] and lurk around here.

You did fine. Just don't get intimidated by faster guys trying to overtake. Keep taking it easy and they'll maneuver around you. Also, practicing with people who are better than you will help you improve faster. Most crashes online happen when someone gets cocky and divebombs a corner or they push too hard and spin. The latter happens to good racers occasionally, too. Just drive at your own comfortable pace, and if they still can't pass you without causing a crash, they can fuck off. See you in two weeks for the next gt.
Ps. Touring cars thursday is good for beginners. Fwd cars are easier to keep in check.

Don't take it personally, I want you to race with us, the more people the better and /ovg/ is fast enough to teach you quite a lot about driving

I'm not recommending skipping the races, I am recommending you drive an easier car. The Porsche is not the easiest GT3 to handle with some funny instability issues, and if you are not confident in your abilities, the Porsche will punch you in the face every time. Out of the cars available now, I believe the Huracan or the Z4 are the most stable cars by default, I'd really recommend you try and drive them a bit and see if you feel less overwhelmed by the handling

Also, if you wanna practice how to handle faster cars passing you before next race, hit me up on steam and I'll try and get you used to not being spooked by the LMPs (RBDK in the steam group, avatar is the crying kid from Spanish GP)

everyone keeps teleporting 50 meters forward every once in a while, sometimes they materialize inside me, also they appear to be drifting through every corner but it's some sort of bug too because when they teleport again it shows their real position and yes they were grip racing

I was in the middle of the pack and was definitely punted in the rear side panel by someone. In the webm it looks like they're sliding sideways too, so I figured someone must have nudged them as well. The first five in the pack braked early and relatively smoothly, so if they wiped, I'm pretty sure it had to be due to a collision.
