It's successor, the MT900, is LS powered and is so insanely fast that it's basically banned from every racing series worldwide. The MT900R with an LS7 wouldn't just beat Snek but every modern supercar around a track.

MT900 is not banned from competition.

It has been made difficult for it to qualify, for a variety of reasons.

Since it's introduction in the early 2000's, competition has grown stronger, and arguably have copied some traits of the Mt900 concept. I'm not sure if it still races. WM sold the company a few years back after he moved from the mainland. I know that whoever bought the auto company was selling road legal, and track only consuliers pretty cheap for a while. But they all needed work from being stored in Florida for the better part of two decades. I think some jalopnik type people got one, as well as one of the allpar forums guys who is really into 80's Shelby cars.
