can somebody explain this please
what engines are these
>wanting a compact, decently light, dirt cheap, reliable, high torque, easy to modify, easy to fix, V8 is being an idiot
>wanting a JDM engine you need JDM parts to maintain is smart
Great logic

The first is your mother OP, Lisa, she's used and swapped around by everybody cause they know what they're gonna get and it's easy. Another is a revolutionary Japanese engine from a company in the far past, in a distant universe from a company called "to yoda". The naming was inspired by star wars, because they'll never do anything good again but what they did do back in the day was real gud. The other one is something, idfk probably a small block chebby or a b16 or some dumb shit that either runs on pbr or rice depending on what it is.

It's a stupid image.
The first engine looks like some sort of piece of shit, idek
Second looks to be an RB26
Third looks to be a 2JZ
Though that doesn't make sense, you can't get an RB26 if you're poor
>t. doesn't know a singe thing about engines
>>17444582
>Top Left
LS something, maybe LS6 but I don't know.
>Bottom Left
SR20DET blacktop
>Bottom Right
Either VVTI 1JZGTE, or a 2JZGTE

Looks more like an SR than an RB to me. Only four coil packs.
the top one is an LS
the other two are boat anchors

kek
>>17444842
RB26 is a straight 6 lad. SR is obviously the poor choice if you don't want to ls swap
why isn't there a 2jz kit for a miata? ;~;
>>17444582
weebs are cancer
>>17445018
2JZ's are too long
Put an LS in like you're supposed to
>>17445055
but LSs are expensive and the kits to install them are even more expensive
>>17444582
1 LS1
2 SR20DE (NA)
3 2JZ-GTE (turbo, non-vvti)
>>17444842
>Second looks to be an RB26
Being this stupid.
>>17445018
>why isn't there a 2jz kit for a miata? Because it needs a footwell and pedal box more than it needs cylinders 5 and 6
Some sort of LS
An RB26 (I think)
2JZ GTE
>>17445070
>LSs are expensive.
>SWAPS are expensive
Fixed that for ya.
You'll spend the same or more money swapping in a 2J.
>>17445082
Why do people ITT think the RB26 is a 4cyl
In stock trim ls truck swap should be poor choice. 2jz is starting to show its age and will cost you far more then ls at every level. The 4cyl no matter what will maintain the balance of your small car but you will spend more on the turbo for it just to get to stock 2j or ls levels.
Tldr: buy the swap that meets your needs and budget.
>>17444582
thats pretty accurate
most who LS swap arent even into cars and just want to go fast
>>17445099
they're all related to muhv6
>>17445082
>>17445099
Because it's the only Nissan engine they know and they've never seen one.
>>17444582
This image is too simplified to be anything but weeb comedy.
But it does beg for a "Doing an engine swap?" image similar to the "Buying a used car?" stickied to the first page.
>>17445105
Isn't the whole point of engine swaps, barring an OE replacement, to make them go faster?
LS engines do this well because they're relatively cheap, small, and light for the power they make
I'm guessing it's the usual Pushrods vs Overhead Cams
