I remember one time when I was a busboy at a local venue hall we had a massive party of Mexicans. Everyone got mega tanked and was dishing out tips like it was xmas. Best part was that we had a bar setup in the kitchen for beers and w.e and they would ask for a pitcher of beer so I was like sure why not. Easy 20 bucks for the team x lets say 15 tables. Man that was a fun night.

Crx has

asr rear sway bar kit
tannabe front sway bar

cusco strut brace rear

I want to spend another 20k on it.

>MUH PIZZA
>WHERE IS THIS GUY, WHY IS HE ON MAIN UGHHH MUHH PIZZAAA

Then they will still be late to the door and make you wait 5 extra minutes because "UGH HOLD ONNN IM COMING IM COMING"

Give you soggy sweaty money and tip you 0.43 cents and still bitch to the manager on how the driver somehow ate some of the meat pieces because there is clearly not enough. They will later post a picture on yelp with a half eaten pizza and the complaint. Honestly fuck the customer they are usually wrong.
>>
>>17436933
Customer satisfaction is a priority, therefore quality is a priority.

Papa John's doesn't want their pizzas to get fucked up because someone braked or cornered too hard or they wanted to get lunch or purchase a dragon dildo, so they want to make sure drivers get to the customer's house as soon as they take the order and return to the store as soon as the order has been completed to avoid late deliveries.

Yeah; I always speed and get meals during a delivery.

I went to a car wash today because I saw dead bugs on my roof.

Now I'll have to be sneakier than usual, by getting food if it's next to the delivery; it would be even better if it's at the mall.

I will need to figure out the g threshold for the telemetry so I'll know how much braking, accelerating, and cornering speed I can give.

>>17437717
So, the waiting time should be more consistent rather than variable.

I haven't had any customers complain if they get their pizza late, but they will tell me if I get there sooner than they expected and get a bigger tip as a result.

So, I'm just going to get stuck with $1 tips from now on by the look of things.
>>
>>17437506
Basically bubbles that won't stop in your coolant. It's exhaust gases forcing itself into your coolant.

Sorry for the late reply was cleaning up at work.
>>
>>17437745
Don't talk about how I shouldn't be working at a job working for tips, I enjoy driving my own car and I only have to talk to customers briefly; I'm not going to bother driving for Uber or returning to throwing newspapers just to have another house jump in front of me.
>>
>>17437745
Delivery is sometimes an definite must in some areas. I like within blocks of 7 pizza places and sometimes STILL order via delivery. Wait varies from 10 minutes to an hour dependent on the time of day. If you call before 4 expect your Chinese/burgers/pizza at your doorstep within 15 minutes. Obviously I'm not hurting but places here have "zones" where they feel comfortable delivering. IE I wouldn't be able to order from a place that's lets say 10 blocks away or 1.5 of a mile...although most places will some will not. I live in a congested city though so things may not apply to you.
>>
>>17437768
Wait a minute... those jobs work for tips as well, just not as much.

I already have a warehouse job and I'm waiting for a better paying warehouse job to be offered in a few months from a friend.
>>
>>17437773
Not to mention the immeasurable amount of Chinese food places/burger joints (diners) ethnic arab food places , sushi places and handful of those health food organic food takeo ut places. No wonder America is obese as fuck.
>>
>>17437778
I used to work in a warehouse as well. I remember loading 1 tone of products on a pallet jack all by myself. I'm not a big guy and this was a manual pallet jack so not assistance. I quit the next month.
>>
>>17437745
From my experience most of not all people who tip don't do it based on how fast it gets there. I've gotten to houses late as fuck and they usually understand it's out of my control. As long as it's hot they don't give a fuck. I don't deliver cold food.
>>
>>17437783
>Drive my grandmother to jack in the box
>Fucking place has delivery
>>
>>17437798
>Nearest Jack in the Box is in Baton Rouge and I'm near New Orleans

>>
>>17437795
I think its the opposite. I used to work as a busboy as I stated before and I remember one lady threw a fucking fit because the open bar had a tip jar and that defeats the purpose of an open bar...she literally had a meltdown because "its not right" "makes no sense" I find people who cant grasp tips are just petty and cheap.
>>
>>17437773
I live in metro Atlanta where the delivery area is 5-10 miles.

>>17437792
That's... not hard.

>>17437795

>>
>>17437813
It's a fast food restaurant.

I've never been to one, I think.
>>
>>17437764

>>

>>
>>17437816

>>
>>17437821

>>17437826

>>17437813
Fast food restaurant that doesn't build enough stores.

>>17437806
People like that are nuts. I've apologized to every late order and all say it's OK and tip my anyway.

>>17437821
Let it run with the cap off for a while and see if the bubbles eventually stop. If they never do, it's a possible head gasket leak. Only way to find out for sure is to use a pressure tester from an auto parts store.
>>
>>17437832
Yeah obviously but I'm saying your still moving the weight. Strange though even bigger dudes than I said it was a workout. Out pallet jack was shit though and so was the crumbling warehouse we worked in believe it or not this place still had a manual freight elevator. Sketchy as fuckkkkk to use
>>
>>17437836
Oh we did, adding water as it idled, it would bubble and then eventually after a long enough time of adding water and sitting, it did stop bubbling, although it spat out a lot of coolant through the cap neck. What's weird is after the whole ordeal, it got home without rising in temperature at all...
>>
>>17437842
Ok, so the issue was the jack itself.

But still, if you can move a car in neutral, you can move a pallet jack.
>>
>>17437846
Ok cool you should be fine then. Just keep an eye out for leaks. If the car is old then you may just have failing hoses.
>>
>>17437858
Yeah there's probably a very rare and slow leak in that line. This actually was never an issue before. Tomorrow I'm replacing the thermostat, seal, and also my valve cover gasket.
There's a huge and inconsistent power loss in ny car (and has been since i got it). I'm thinking MAYBE fuel pump could be the issue if the cover gasket replacement stops oil from killing the plugs and it still doesn't get faster.

Mine would be okay but there's mechanical stuff to sort out, and I'm not exactly a mechanic or wealthy so it's caused me a lot of stress.
As far as 4th G Civics go it's one of the best surviving examples from a cleanliness and mileage standpoint, granted that's got a lot to do with me being the third owner and the previous two being elderly women who knew each other personally, and it's an automatic, and it's the sedan...
Still, under 94k miles, hey hey!

I just thought that guy was being kinda arrogant. For one, most of our cars aren't even run down, and to be honest even if they are, I actually love run down shitboxes, my first car was also an LX 4th gen Sedan and it was extra run down, 250k+ miles, tons of body damage, BROWN ON BROWN, and no AC.

Silver, which I hate.

I guess there's really nothing that bad about black hoods, as long as it's not an attempt at knock off carbon fibre. That may just be the Honda getting in my head, though.
>>
>>17440284
I've been arguing with myself about whether or not I should do the black hood. I bought a new primered one.

On one hand, going black would be easy. I don't know this shade of red the car was painted. I also don't want the fake carbon fiber look. I also think it would go well with my black headlight housings and the overall red and black theme.

The problem with black hoods is that no matter what, someone will think you're going for the carbon fiber look.
Also matte paint usually doesn't come out quite right on cars, does anyone relate? Like some parts are always glossier or more matted than others...
>>17440354
Honestly that looks fairly nice as is. Maybe do some sort of stripe motif from the hood side-end to the slanted crease where the headlights end in black. That may look alright, give a neat two tone look.
Or maybe it'd look bad. I don't know, Photoshop would answer my curiosity.

In short, YES, it is still available. But only 2011-2014 model years only for some reason.

Price is slightly different depending on where you go, so go to a Honda owned dealer rather than a chain to get the best price. I brought the CRX in for an oil change and asked about it, then the parts guy accidentally printed all of the instructions for the installation.

Pic related is estimate for the supercharger alone plus installation, but they also sell:
Front brake kit (calipers, rotors and pads)
Sports exhaust + rear diffuser (both required for install)
Sport suspension
18" HPD alloy wheels

Got it all sanded down, bondo'd the main dent in it and went over all the smaller ones. Gonna wait until morning to sand the rest of the filler and clean it up. Then primer bondo and paint. Looking at the photo, the black and red look nice together. Milano red, gotta remember that.
On the flip side, the body shop doesn't have a rocker pattern for my car. Anyone have any clue how to get one?

>>
>>17442490
Its a necessity. Bare lac is strond though bare enamel, acrylic, plastidip are not. Protect the coats. Not only that but you can polish out clear for a shine while pollishibg out a base coat while able to get a shine can also remove enough to show the primed surface unless your base coats are thick. Here is a spoon test to show what i mean. Left was bare coat polished, middle clear only, right is primed with 2 top coats and an enamel clear from rustoleum can polish with turtle wax finish high cut polish. Also flat paint with gloss clear is going to come out glossy.

It's tremclad, whatever category that falls into. I'll see if I can't pick up a can of clear coat none the less.
>>
>>17444222
Ill warn you m8 its gonna be uneven like shingus most likely unless you spend a lot of time or buy a spray gun/airbrush or have polishing tools. Id suggest enamel clear since its meant to cure as a hard layer and is easy to polish. Good Lac clear polishing products are hard to come by but you can use the same stuff its just not nearly as effective. Also get a respirator for painting, enamel and lac can seriously fuck you up. I kinda hate enamel for curing times and how it cures less even for me than lac does but just give it 24 hrs or more and your probably ok.
>>
>>17444242
>spray gun/airbrush
Well what a coincidence.
I'm really not trying to make this look perfect. The original hood is rusted to a functional window, and I need something cheap to replace it. I prefer the black to the red, and I happen to have lots of (lacquer?) black paint around. I'd kinda prefer the imperfections, reminds me that I did it myself, not pay a body shop to redo it perfectly.
>>
>>17444253
If you got a spray gun/air brush go for it though use a respirator for painting. Lacquers are pretty bad for the lungs. I just ordered a cheap air brush a while ago but most my knowledge comes from people with way more experience with those tools than me. Spray cans for anything more than primer were getting annoying to use.
>>
>>17444281
I'll keep that in mind. I think I have one around.
>>
>>17444288
Its important to have turpentine or mineral spirits for enamel though. Lacquers you want retarder/leveler thinners for spraying. Also wear a mask when cleaning the spray gun/air brush. Just spray acetone through it to clean.

Probably not. The memesters on 4chan are adamant that they will be able to negotiate on price of the car as well as fees. This is not the case the majority of the time and most Honda dealers are savvy and know that people will pay face for the car...especially one so new. Good luck but unlikely. Car negotiation is strictly for used cars imo...and most new dealers/ salespeople know for a fact that them loosing your sale isn't shit and someone will come into the dealership and pay for it or another partner dealer will order one from them

>>17447413
I don't think it looks too ricey. The red piping on the wheels sorta gives it away as being modded, but if I didn't look too closely at it it wouldn't set of my ricer alarms. It looks way more modded within than without, but even with that I don't think it looks very ricey. Really it just looks like someone gradually replaced parts as needed to make it more suited to them, as opposed to trading out parts to impress other people.
>>
>>17447483
In conclusion, I'd give your car a comfy-guy/10 on my personal ricer scale, much lower than half-hearted 30-year-old

Np. I like opining. If I were to modify a car I'd definitely go that route. I think mods should be for the user, not the audience.
>>
>>17447538
Yeah if I went with what others wanted it'd probably be a much too low turbo car that would end up breaking down too much.
>>
>>17447568
Exactly. That's why the first things I'm going to be doing to my car are actually going to be restoring it to 100% factory spec so that I can then experiment with what makes it most fun to drive.
>>
>>17447583
Mine was too far gone (10th owner life) so I just made a list and tackled one thing after another. Luckily the engine is fine minus my dumbass popping the head gasket twice.
>>
>>17447600
Well, it doesn't look like it's had 10 owners, so good on you.
>>
>>17447618
Yeah I think most of the damage was done by the last guy. A friend of his said he rolled the rear fenders with pliers so those are ruined. Just gives me an excuse to not care much about the exterior condition. I built it to eat miles for work and possible road trips.
>>
>>17447630
Jesus, what a eejit. Anyway, your car looks great for its age, and it definitely looks lived-in in the good way. It kinda reminds me of the spaceships in Star Wars or Alien, not directly, but in that it's aesthetically worn.
>>
>>17447630
Tell me about it. My wagon got the same treatment. I'd love to waterboard the fuck that felt like that was a good idea.
>>
>>17447655
Yeah most other EGs would have been in much worse shape and probably multiple colors. Yeah the front end is a different shade of red and the paint job is a 50 footer at least but at least it's all some shade of red.

I do like that I don't have to worry about the paint or body at least. New scratches or dents don't even bother me much.

>>17447664
I'd die to have all nine owners in a room so I can get a real history on the car.

Same here the guy I bought the car from didn't have a clue what he even had. The person he bought it from did the swap on it and pretty much everything else.
Hopefully tomorrow I around to replacing the rear trailing arm bushings with the energy bushings I bought a few weeks ago, and while I've got it up I'll probably do the shifter bushings. My gear shift has play like a floppy dick. I never even noticed it since I got the car until my dad pointed it out lol
>>
>>17447816
I've pretty much replaced all the bushings except for the trailing arm ones. The U joint in my shift linkage is as floppy as it gets but every other shifter related thing has been replaced. Still has a ton of left to right play though until I change out that shifter rod.

I found a noticeable coolant leak, coming from a hose that I don't know anything about.
So basically there's the upper and lower radiator hose, and then there's this other hose, it's a bit thinner than the other two hoses, and it's roughly in between them positionally.
Anyway it's pouring coolant pretty heavily. Anyone have any idea what that hose is called?
>>
>>17447831

>>17447836
Yes, went outside and took this. I think it might be the heater hose? Does coolant circulate through the heater hose at all though?
>>
>>17447887
also note that disgusting black thing screwed into the engine that is covered in slow leaking oil. Not sure what that is either.
>>
>>17447887
Yes, coolant always flows through your heater core.

Also, oil leaking from wherever is softening the rubber hoses, so you might want to get it fixed.
>>
>>17447887
Is that the hose that goes from the engine head under the distributor to the heater core? Yeah coolant goes through that for sure. That's where the heater gets its heat from. If you ever run the heater at full blast in a cold car it'll be far from hot.

>>17447899
That should be the plug that makes the coolant temp needle work. I learned this not too long ago when the wire broke. Needled stayed on max cold the whole time.
>>
>>17447903
Might be solved already. He did change the valve cover gasket recently.
>>
>>17447908
The heater gets hot as hell but I haven't tried it with the new thermostat and with coolant low.
Thanks for that info, Shingu, that hose is apparently pretty easy to replace.

Yeah I had to replace it myself. Not too big a deal at all. Be sure to check and make sure your radiator cap is working properly too. A bad radiator cap burst that hose for me and eventually my head gasket. Can always get a new cap to play it safe. A bad cap can ruin a lot of things that I paid the price for. Always get an OEM one. kek

>>17447929
I need to paint mine as well. That looks good. I'm having a toss up between red and black. Did you just sand the letters afterward?
>>
>>17447825
Any idea where to find the actual bushings for the shifter? I've looked around but all I can really find are the ones I already have; that and the actual steering linkage bushings.
>>
>>17447944
I used Satin Black radiator paint to paint it, and I did about 6 coats for maximum toughness.
I filed the letters with a chainsaw file first, then I sanded them. Frankly I should hit it again with a coarser sandpaper than fine sand again, because the file grooves aren't going in the same direction and the sanding helped mask that.

What radiator cap do you recommend? I still have mine, but it's kinda slippery.
>>
>>17447944
Also, brah, paint it fuckin beige for maximum respect.
>>
>>17447963
They're riveted into the U joint I believe and nobody really makes replacement ones. I think the best route would be to order a new shifter rod which includes that fresh joint. They have them new on dealer connected sites like Honda Parts Now I think.

Love EF sedans. Wouldn't mind one myself but I'm addicted to the hatchback life. I had a EG sedan for a while until I got my car. Sold it to a friend of mine that knows these cars top to bottom and he's taking good care of it.
>>

The day my family scrapped mine was among the worst days of my life. EVERYTHING mechanical still worked except the transmission (which still worked, but was leaking, for all I know, I might've busted a seal or knocked off the bleed bolt) and the fucking salvage yard owner says "I'll give you 50 for this piece of junk". I told him "you said 175 on the phone, that engine alone is hundreds and it's in perfect working order". He immediately gave me 100.
Hearing someone call it a "piece of junk" actually hurt my feelings.
