They're ok. Good improvement on the third gen. While you're replacing engine and trans, put a 9" on it instead of the 10 bolt.

Are you prepared to spend a lot of money or time to cut the floor up to accommodate it? Also, make sure you have the 4L60E made for the LS1/LT1, as the V6 one will not work, the bellhousings are different. I believe it is the same for the V6 as well.

If it is really clean and nice, go ahead and swap it. I'd recommend against doing the LT1 swap, as OptiSpark is a bitch and you'll never reach LS1 levels of cheap performance (though the LT1 sounds miles better).

To sum it up, you'll be swapping the trans anyway so just figure out if you want to spend the time/money to cut up the floor of your car and buy + replace the transmission mounts.

Fuck, I meant to say that I know the 3.4L 4L60E won't work on the LT1/LS1s and believe it is the same for the 3.8L
