Do wings do anything at normal speeds or are they just for looks?
At street legal speeds, nothing.

They're just as effective for cars as they are for chickens
factory stock wings normally don't do anything but create drag, lowering your fuel efficiency
aftermarket wings that haven't been tuned to your car in a wind tunnel also do nothing
Wings that have been tuned to your car in a wind tunnel create downforce which you wont need unless you race or drive at illegals speeds on public roads.

Please don't respond to chicken boi threads.
Downforce isn't real.

At normal highway speeds wings aren't significant enough to matter
but at 100+mph you'll start to see a difference
Spoilers are not wings, spoilers "spoil" the air, reducing drag and saving gas mileage
Mostly for looks if you're doing regular driving. No effect on car until after a certain speed.
On track, different story. Depending on driving I guess. Idk. Fuck you

>reducing drag and saving gas mileage
wtf I thought their purpose was to push down on the rear wheels
>>17427697
Yes, that's what a wing does. >>17427262 is a spoiler, as are most things attached to cars you can buy at a dealership, short of a Viper ACR or something. Notice how it has almost no ability to generate downforce, maybe except for those two scoops on the top.
>>17427697
That's what a wing does. A wing is not a spoiler in all technicality but people often interchange the two freely.
Look at the shape of a spoiler its like the shape of an airplane wing. It generates lift and reduces drag. A wing is shaped like a big wave that increases drag to push the car lower to the ground improving traction

so if I took a spoiler off, turned it around and it bolted it back in itd behave like a wing?
>>17427751
No, it'd just fuck up your airflow. A spoiler doesn't give you upforce, it just adjusts the airflow around the car giving you less drag.
>>17427262
yeah they let everyone know you're a spic
