>One of the biggest factors for me is how easy these cars are to work on and how cheap mods are. i mentioned it in my last thread but no one really gave me an answer so im emphasizing it here.
Please note that this car will be my daily. There are other civics around. I just picked that one as an example because its super cheap. Same for the miata however those are a little harder to find clean and a touch more expensive. The 240 however is the cleanest one ive found for under $5000 in about a year. also in case you couldn't figure it out I live in new england.
>Im super conflicted because i want something rear wheel drive because i want to try drifting, but civics look like such fun track cars and better dailies. help me please...

Don't track anything that's your daily either.
OP get something that will be reliable for the near term if later on you want to track something get a second car.

I hear ya bro, I'm in the same boat as you. I live on the cape, searched for 8 months for the right car to pop up. This AM I bought a NA8 miata. Planning on driving it casually then pulling the engine and making it my winter project... basically just to learn how to fix things, with a sweet byproduct being having a much better car next spring. Good luck

i originally tried to stay away from miatas because i figured they would be shit in the winter. Are they?
