Ive got an 85 z28 that got wrecked in 85 and sat for 30 years outside and needs paint bad. I dont have the money to paint it atm and was wondering if i could dip it with a HVLP gun or do i need a specific one for plastidip?

You can use a regular HVLP gun, you'll just need a 1.8 size tip because the dip is thicker than regular paint. It'll look like ass and be hard to spray right with a smaller tip.

If you don't have the money and it doesn't need to last more than a few years just use acrylic paint
Cheap, shiny, lasts fairly well outdoors, and sprays perfectly fine after mixing a little lacquer
