I watched some american TV shows about cars and they really called dragsters a racecar. How pathetic are you guys? These shitcans only drive in a straight line. By this logic a railway is also a racecar.
>Prove me wrong amerifats
Hmm. A car used for racing...
Why do they call it a race car?
Really good question. Let me look into this one.
>By this logic a railway is also a racecar.
You mean to tell me it isnt?

>put the paddle to the metal

>Profit
Yeah, what a race :^) this sums up American driving skills and cars

It's called "drag racing" for a reason you autistic fuck. Just cause you're jealous of the greatest country on earth doesn't mean your point is valid.
Drag racing is all powertrain. It's not about well tuned suspension or big ceramic brakes. I like watching it but would never build a car for straight line. The more money you have, the faster you can be and that's it. It's all about reaction time and consistency.
Straight line racing is for fast cars, circuits are for fast drivers.

That means you have another sport where you use the wrong name KEK.
Football:
>no ball, played with the hands
Drag Racing:
>not a race, use railways not cars
>>17418955
What the fuck did I just watch?
>>17418972
>It's not about well tuned suspension
yes it is
maybe not on a solid suspension rail car but everything else it is
it takes a lot to get high powered cars to hookup and go straight
>The more money you have, the faster you can be and that's it
there are rules and classes for these reasons
>Straight line racing is for fast cars, circuits are for fast drivers.
if you cant handle your 3000hp car youre going to have a bad time
>>17418933
>watching tv
t. retard
Those are known as "jr dragsters" and are for children. Bigger ones are called dragsters or diggers. No one call them race cars in real life.
>>17418989
Some are, but I've seen pro mod chevys that are in stock suspension.
And like i said, fast cars vs fast drivers. That and most pro mods are between 1400 and 2500 horses. If you've got 3000hp you better know how to drive it before you think about having fun in it. But knowing how to handle an insanely powerful car going forward is not the same as handling a 400hp car through turns.
>>17419123
still at the speeds they are going from a standstill control is a very important feature of dragracing
>>17418933
Why are you so obsessed with the US is the real question.
>>17419123
>Pro mod
>Stock suspension
This is inherently not possible. You can't tub a car for pro mod wheels and tires on stock suspension, they would rub
>>17418933
because Americans find it difficult to drive in straight lines

>>17418973
If it's not racing then what is it?
Why don't they have tractor pulls with souped up trains?
>>17419472
Train racing would be a patrician event
>>17418933
Because racecar backwards is racecar
If you do the same thing with trains nothing would change on this event besides the vehicles who accelerate.
>>17419396
HOLY FUCKING KEK THEY CANT EVEN DRIVE IN A STRAIGHT LINE

Britbongs are driven by the same fucking disease like the amerifats
>By this logic a railway is also a racecar.
i guess if you layed two tracks next to each other and timed them it would be racing..
>how pathetic are you guys
>posting this shit on /o/

Fuck yeah it would be
