Why don't you trust dealerships to work on your car?
They charge twice the price but has the same level of competency as canadian tire.

They quoted me $1200 for a valve job and said I never got an oil change even with the receipt in hand and the sticker in the windshield.
Also the same guy at the dealer has worked on my car every time and I think he fucks something up every time he gets his Bosnian hands on it

Because they pretend to sell me an A4, but instead it's an overpriced jetta
>ask dealer about how much it would cost to get the MP275 kit installed
>Claim they know nothing about it and that they don't do aftermarket.
>Mountune requires the kit to be installed at a dealer or ase certified mechanic for it to be warranty friendly
Someones being fucky here and I think it's them.
So I don't think I trust them past a fucking oil change.
>$800 for a fucking downpipe install
I should have fucking sued them

here in aus all the dealers are incompetent for most std brands like ford and holden, toyota etc.
charge 3x the price
take longer
provide a shittier service all round
Even my local tyre center are unironically better, cheaper and provide the same service for 1/10th of the price, only thing the dealers are good for is parts

Because they charge 3x times the cost for each service and gives zero fucks about their service quality, also aren't anymore competent than a mechanic from a legit and reliable workshop.
>Honda dealer tried to charge me $200 for them to replace the dead bulb in my shifter
I'll keep going there for basic maintenance.
Because I have the workshop manuals and I can do it myself.

fuel pump at my bmw dealer in sydney is $3k, can get one delivered for $1000 from usa

>going to canadian tire
fuck them, they don't do shit. you're better going to an independent/local mechanic
