Hello /o/
I just bought a 2006 Seat Cordoba and it came with a supremely shitty car radio that I want to replace (mainly because the anti-theft face plate keeps coming loose and is a huge bitch to put back in again). The car also came equipped with some decent audio speakers, so I'm looking to replace it with something nice.
Now my country's pretty well-covered when it comes to DAB service, there are reports of some spotty reception here and there, but you get more stations if you go digital, and the sound quality is obviously going to be better than FM.
On the other hand, I don't spend huge amounts of time listening to the radio in my car, and am probably going to default to streaming my playlist over Bluetooth or USB anyway even if I do get DAB.
Another thing I'm looking at dealing with is the antenna. Most DAB radios come with a free DAB antenna that you glue to your window or something, seeing as you (apparently) can't connect them to a normal FM antenna. Unfortunately I understand these window antennas are 1) hideous and 2) get poor reception. So I would consider investing in an actual DAB antenna that would replace my stock antenna as well.
What do you think? Is it worth the investment, or should I just default to an FM radio with the options I need? And if I get DAB, should I get the proper antenna or just use the free one?
