I used to have a pickup that had lights so bad that on unlit roads if I drove 20mph my stopping distance was way beyond my line of sight. So some nights I spent hours ticking along at 15 mph in second for an hour or more depending on where the work was. I was a hydraulic fitter for heavy equipment so it got me out into the boonies sometimes.

Friday's were best because I could follow someone out to the street light lit highway if I was lucky
