What's your opinion on the 190D?

2.6 with 5 speed or 2.5 turbo diesel with 5 speed.

Great car. Body and electronics will disintegrate before the engine will ever even break a sweat. Biggest issue is the age. All the rubber is rotten on these by now including alot of vacuum lines. Id your willing to replace them, then you should have a great car.

I own one! a 2.2l diesel with a 5sp.

I absolutely love it. Slow as shit, 50mpg, wonderfully well designed, easy to work on, beautiful in my opinion, a pleasure to drive.

I haven't had much of trouble with my vacuum lines or anything, but the window rubbers are nearly gone from being in the sun so much... surprisingly the door lining rubbers are still usable though.

solid cars, i daily a 2.6 and only ever had to replace the smog pump, runs like a peach otherwise.

the door locks can freeze up during the winter forcing you to lock/unlock from the trunk, that's the only real downside.
