Nah, typical over-engineered Audi. From the sales blurb:

>anti-lock brakes (ABS)
>electronic stability program (ESP)
>electronic brake force distribution (EBD) >electronic differential lock (EDL)
>traction control (ASR)
>seat-mounted head and chest side airbags >next-generation dual front airbags
>three-point safety belts with pretensioners and load limiters.

I drive a tank that is far better at driving than I am.

While I wouldn't drive a tin can like a CRX, I'd take a 2 star safety rating and good visibility over a 5 star bunker.

You can't get in a fox body and shut the doors without being reminded it's a tin can. They actually fare pretty okay in most real world crashes though, probably because the engine's so far forward but I always fucking think about pic related where the car broke in half and the front seats got pulled out of the passenger compartment. Nightmare fuel.

My truck has some weakness in small overlap crashes but even if I do happen to hit something tall enough and heavy enough not to just obliterate I'll only get a broken clutch leg. Pickup doors WILL come open in serious accidents though so I wear my seatbelt for any driving outside town.
>>
No, I bought an 86 and it has 5 star crash rating because it was made by amazing engineers.
>>
>>17401513
Nope. All airbags removed for weight reduction. The only safety precautions I've taken is to replace the stock shitty Toyota OEM seats with some Recaro bucket seats and a 5 point harness over the 3 point seat belt that comes with the SW20.

I'm already driving one of the "most dangerous cars around" according to normies. The danger makes it fun.

It's very jarring going from one car with no safety anything to a steel fortress. The height of CUV's/SUV's puts their headlights at your eye level, and their grille at your neck.

At least its microscopic dimensions make it easy to park.

no, even though my car is from the 80s, it's still an over-engineered mercedes. i don't drive too fast anyways.

the only car i've totaled (zero fault) had the airbags fail during the accident, which was around 45mph head on and I was fine. not really too concerned about the mercedes, except maybe a full-speed side impact considering no real modern protection there... but a rare accident, so

If I hit something with any speed I'll probably vaporize instantly

I always double check every crossing I go through, break early if someone is behind me, and try to put pickups, sports cars or Tesla's behind me cuz I trust them to not hit me more

Well if you didn't see it coming wouldn't it be better that you were wearing a seatbelt?

We don't have the ability to see when we will have an accident because then we wouldn't have them

Our highway speed limit is 130 Km/h here in the Netherlands. I think out Roads are somewhat smaller than in the US, but we have full-sized SUVs & commercial trucks weighing 50 metric tonnes driving around here, just like you burgers.

Nah you're retarded. In belgium it's 120/130kph on the highway as well. And they're 3/4 lanes at most with big sack of shits on it.

Shit is scary sometimes.

Where the hell have you gotten that from? German speed limits are 30 mph urban, 62 mph rural and unlimited (80 mph recommended) on the Autobahn apart from local limit zones, and we're notoriously speedy and in a hurry.

>tfw you blast down rural roads at 75 on your way home from school weeks because your usual Autobahn sections are full of constructions and traffic jams currently

At the point where my speed and the speed of traffic begins approaching my reaction time I put my seat belt on

>>17416408
When the lateral forces begin to approach a point I feel a possibility of flipping, I put my seat belt on.

I suppose my seat belt wouldn't help me if I roof slid in front of a semi but I don't know why you'd wish that on someone.

I can't say I feel very safe in it. Luckily, since the PT Cruiser is considered an old person car, people usually give me plenty of space.

In my old Town Car, I felt super safe, wrapped in what felt like 3 tons of pure 'Murica, and rightly so. I was hit by a Mustang at about 65mph and it flipped 3 times and landed on the roof. I crawled out of the (broken) windshield with nothing more than a few bruises and a broken nose. The Mustang driver was dead on impact, and his car basically burned to a crisp before the amberlamps even arrived.
I miss that car... going to buy another one soon, probably a Grand Marquis this time.
