New to bikes so im slowly buying gear on sale and I just realized that its all from alpinestars. Therefore im wondering if its silly to be head to toe in 1 brand as a new rider and is it really important for a jacket and pants to zip up together? :/

Brand matching does not matter, and the zipping together thing is only really necessary for the track.

The important bit is that you have full coverage. You want to be able to fall at any angle and hit any part of your body and not get owned by the skid demon. Zipping up helps that, but generally, the belly won't be the place you land.
