I think it uses the standard Prius hybrid battery packs, but it has an AER V6 Turbo (developed by Toyota) the same one used in the old Rebellion R-One non-hybrid LMP1s.

I could see it as a sporty hatchback, however toyota will never make a performance version because that's not what the prius was made for
