It's the closest Honda has had to a sports car for a long time. Previously the NSX, the current NSX is above sports car territory. Currently Honda doesn't make a single fucking sports car. Bland Toyota has more sports car types in their Lexus line than Honda has had in decades.

And no, a Civic isn't a sports car no matter how much power they make it have.

I can see why you might think it isn't a sports car due to the scca's clasification of it as 'Touring 3' however the initial definition of a 'sports car' is any car that seats two, has a soft top, and can be used for competition. By that definition, the S2000 and other like vehicles fitting the description are sports cars.

And by extension I'd like to point out that there is no 'Sports car' class in SCCA.
