Hey guys, Murrican in need of advice here. I used to drive an 02 Jetta that needed expensive repairs frequently. Finally, someone slammed into me at highway speeds while I was still and my car was totalled. I survived with mild whiplash and decided to start looking at cars.
>tl;dr
Looking for a new car in the 3000 price range that wont screw me over financially. I really like pic related, but hear its tranny is awful. Japanese preferred. Also looked at prelude and civics. I want something that will be reliable for the price range and fun to drive. Thanks!
Also, if anyone has whiplash treatment advice, I'll take it. I've just been using ice packs

Civic.
Prelude if you can find a manual. I like the 4th gen ones

Acura 2.2 cl can also be found in manual if thats what you want.

This anon is right. Gas and go, for 3k I'd settle for one.

Just having trouble finding unmolested ones. I've seen tons with ugly bodykits that are falling apart.

Thanks! Yes, I forgot to mention, manual is a must

2.2cl can be found in manual and its somewhat nice interior and can be found for under 2k.
Mid to late 90's nissan maxima is also reliable from what ive heard but premium gas is necessary.

I just got my M endorsement last week, but I wasnt expecting to lose my car. Waiting on the insurance payout and a replacement before a bike.
