GM either needs to take the Corvette upmarket or wave the white flag and build a supercar ABOVE the Corvette. Ford has humiliated them not once but twice with two separate GTs.

It's kind of sad. Despite all the issues the C7 has, it's still the best selling Corvette generation yet. The problem is that most people outside of actual car enthusiasts don't give a shit about the issues it has. People buy it based on looks and brand name recognition. So far this year, GM has sold 6,197 C7 Z06, where as the base model has 11,253 and accounts for almost 35% of the C7 sales. As long as the Corvette keeps selling, GM has no real incentive to make the car better.
