This, the EP3 Si is the most recent Honda hatch other than current year ones, can be had for like 5k-6k but you'll do some searching to find one that isn't trashed. Even older Honda hatches are an option but they're less secure and more likely to be trashed or rusted. I've also heard good things about Mazda 3s
