However, I respect that there's no way for a cop to know the difference, so I don't bitch about it if I get a ticket. Of course, brains relate to that as well, which is probably why I own a ridiculously fast sports car, yet haven't gotten a ticket in 20 years.

Bullshit. I just took a 150mi drive today and for about 120 of those miles I had fantastic visibility with one or two cars every half mile or so on the road with me on straight, dry roads. in a level area with fields on either side of me to crash into.

The speed limit there was 70mph, but you could realistically break 110 and be just fine with no risk of hitting someone.

Speed limits aren't imposed for safety, they're imposed for revenue. We already have crimes for when you hurt people. If you hit someone with your car, I agree, that should be a criminal offense.

I'm for abolishing speed limits and letting the cops pull you over if they think you are a danger to other people or public property, period. Speed cameras may generate more revenue but people ultimately run over pedestrians because they're watching the speedo knowing that cameras are incapable of thinking "36, eh, was probably trying to go 35, let em go". Also, speed cameras can't nail you just for being a dangerous douche in low-traction conditions, or being a douche in general.

NOTHING is better at keeping traffic safe than a man with a small, fast, maneuverable vehicle and enough cameras and scanners to get the plate and face of anyone who tries to run (so long as running is an automatic admission of guilt in addition to being a crime in itself).

Most other things make it less safe, hence why cops let so much shit slide.
