Electrics/hybrids. Hot or not?

>hot
918, concept one etc.
>not
Prius, insiht etc.
>consumer electrics and hybrids
No. Every single one of them is bland and boring or it's too expensive tesla crap that people love because they're organic free range or whatver
>performance hybrids
Very hot. And so hot that fuck you, you'll never own one because you suck and we hate you
Electric is great, lots of new options for packaging opens up all sorts of chassis design possibilities, insane power delivery characteristics, and you can do amazing things with the traction control. Only the surface has been scratched for electric performance. Hybrids I don't see much of a future in, there's a few cool tricks you can do like the P1/LaF/918 do but at the end of the day it's too much added complexity.
Live with the already amazing performance of modern ICE's or make batteries not suck dick. We don't need a shitty combination of the two.

Definitely fucking hot bruh

But the more powerful versions of the Tesla Model S would count as performance cars, right? Since they do 0-60 in 3 seconds or less

I agree with this bit

I don't agree with this, at all. I think hybrids will stick around for a long time, for the simple reason that petrol infrastructure is everywhere, but charging infrastructure is not - plus charging takes a long time. Battery swapping might come in in the future - Tesla want to do that. But for the time being I think hybrids are going to be around for a good while.
Also you mentioned a lot of good hybrids; pic is another.

Hybrids are both:
a) more fuel efficient, thus saving you money
b) more torquey, thus accelerating you quicker
Those are both pretty good qualities in my book.

Good car.
