Whatsup br/o/s. I was wondering why my car was acting so squirrely in the wet and I did a walkaround and found that the inner half my front tires were bald, and the other half had badly receding hairlines. The rear tires still have 4/32" tread depth (which is the lower boundary of good depth) but have some dry rot.
I have two questions: what is an acceptable tire brand that isn't too expensive? and should I replace all four tires or just the front two? It's a FWD car, I'm on a shoestring budget, and I live in a four season state.

sounds like you got excessive toe out, you probably need to replace your ballpoints and get an alignment.but I'm guessing your shitbox isn't worth it so just throw the rears up front and get some used tires for the back.

My shitbox is definitely not worth it. I bought it for $1500 and I intend to put as little money into it as possible while still being reasonably safe.
