A little off topic but how does this generation of cars do reliability wise. I'm looking for a cheap car, and I like the Idea of a station wagon, but I've heard that these cars require a lot of expensive repair

I do 90% of the work on my car by my self. There was a big change from 80s cars to 90s cars in the amount of electronic stuff a normal car needs. For example it's very easy to work on the E30 but a lot harder to do bigger repairs on the E36 because of all the new electronic shit inside. Modern cars like the E90 are even worse if you don't work as a mechanic. But the repairs on a E36 are not expensive.
