I drove a corolla for a while that had radar cc and lane assist, it could essentially drive itself over 30 mph. Normal cruise control though I can't handle, I keep my feet on the pedals anyway since I'm too used to my old truck not having it

As someone that drives alot of miles I use CC every day. I wouldn't buy a DD without CC today.
When you use CC everyone you run up on is going slower than you, everyone that is catching up is going faster. You don't have to guess if you are randomly slowing down/speeding up.

I use cruise control in Euro Truck Simulator :^)

3 MPH difference is a lot of time to plan ahead. You are still supposed to be watching traffic.

Also, don't use CC in heavy traffic.

CC is god tier for long road trips across America's many straight highways

This is why I don't use it. It's easier for me to modulate speed with my foot. Otherwise I have to fuck with the CC speed all the time.
