I'm planning on buying a 2004 Nissan 350z pretty soon. What does /o/ think of this car? Is it a good buy?
Need to get one with the Hr engine.
Decent sports cars, keep an eye on the oil levels.
Otherwise good buy. Hard to find ones that haven't been ragged on though.

Yes it's a project tho as you need loads of weight reduction on this pigfat
Don't get automatic or convertible

Yeah I hear it's a pretty heavy car, but that doesn't concern me much.
I'm looking at a manual convertible that had the top redone.
What's wrong with the convertibles?

Looks fine to me.

Nissan scum!
The vq35 is a shit engine and the 350z has a shitty interior and is boyracer trash in general.

Probably better all around value than an 86, but it has limited tuning potential. Most people buy them to modify the appearance and leave the rest stock I would imagine.
My dad has an 04 GT 350z and it's pretty nice, comfy suspension bits and a capable car.
300zx z31 is better m8

To each his own I guess

03-04 had transmission issues with 4th gear if I recall and the engines burn oil unless you get one from 07+, a bit pig fat. But I feel they're at a low point and a good buy. They'll be rice taxed when all the 240s and S13s run out.
