Which method do your prefer for brake bleeding/flushing?

that pump that's built into the car, powered by a foot

paying my mechanic to do it for me

In older cars that isn't always the best option. Brakes aren't always fully depressed during normal driving use like you do when bleeding/flushing. You can damage bearing surfaces.
I've never bled brakes because all my cars the bleeder thing is too rusty to use. It'd probably break off if I tried to move it. If I have to do brake work, I just make a little mess and quickly cork the end of the line so it doesn't drain itself entirely. Then when I'm reinstalling I keep my finger over it until the moment of truth and then make more mess.

>buy speed bleeders
>do it myself by pumping the brakes and getting the air out
>doing them in the correct order.
