I have a 1990 na miata, I really like the thing but, as most miata modders say, it could use a few extra horses.
But I'm not sure I want to turbocharge it. It's a lot of work and a ton of money. And it's not like I'm trying to make a drag car, it will be my daily for a long time.
my idea of a perfect Miata for me involves hardened valve springs, probably the kit from flying miata. Supposedly it'll raise the redline to at least 10,000rpm. Which would add a little more power.
My question is what kind of prep work is necsisary to install such a kit? I've heard from a few friends that you need to reinforce the lower end, connecting rods and crankshaft that kind of stuff. I'd want to get a new tach obviously so I don't get valve float. anything else I'm forgetting?

Nigga what?
Just do the Exhintake swap, good exhaust and add lightness.
Then when you have the money slap a tarbo on it
