It comes with on either a stainless bracelet or leather band, and the cloth band. The cloth band is made on the same italian loom that makes vestments for the Pope.

It's supposed to match your care, not your wardrobe. But it will go fine with your black Skechers autism shoes if that is all you wear.

DESU if you spend more than maybe 2k on a watch and you're not rich you're just shit with money or obsessed and there's better things to spend your money on.

After a while of being into watches, I ended up not being able to deny this. There is no worthy increase in quality past that number, and honestly it could be argued that that number is much lower, probably around 1k even. This is why people who work in finance who think they're rich because they're pulling six figures in a non-stem job are actually not living that much better than a normal person. Because they end up spending all their money on flashy bullshit like watches.

>>17354441
>>17356996
By the way, the submariner is probably the most boring, ripped-off, bland watch ever.

That said, completely in love this Tudor and have always wanted it. That classy light gold touch with the red bezel... hnggg. THAT said, I would rather just get a Christopher ward c60 or even get a fake, which by the way will have the exact same parts and reliability but cost a literal tenth of the price. That by the way shows you how much of a premium you pay on these watches that no one, and I mean no one not even the most avid watch fans, can tell the difference of.

Tudor is excellent shit, but a lot of people still will shit on it because they think that it is a discount rolex. That was last true 20 years ago at best. Totally it's own brand and theams now. They do what Rolex originally did, but better. Rolex has to keep their brand up so chinese businessmen can continue to use them for laundering money, and they end up being too conservative in design. Tudor addresses that and gives rolex the ability to be adventurous with the tudor brand. >>17357484

I love mechanical Seikos. Will be buying a Grand Seiko at the NYC boutique on Madison by the end of the year. I have a half dozen of their mechanical divers. But the GS has sucked me in with it's Japanese craftsmanship. The Swiss can get fucked. Except for Rolex, AP, PP, higher end blancpain, and some very exclusive smaller makes, a ton of parts are farmed out to the chinks, and then only the minimum percentage of parts and assembly make it "swiss". Even Omega buttfucks buyers with this. The high end Grand Seikos are all in-house, lifetime craftsmen. They even grow their own Quartz for the quarts GS line and the regulators in the spring drives. Fucking absolute madmen. But snotty assholes will still be cunts because they have some half chinese Tag Heuer that is "swiss" or the same submariner that everyone and OP's mom has...

Samefagging here...

I don't want to sound like I have a chip on my shoulder about Rolex. They are a very smart watch to buy if you have the money due to their resale value. (They tend to go up). They are also 100% Swiss, and now finally fully 100% in house with the exception of I think diamonds (((they still own them))). But they are very expensive, and very conservative (even for luxury goods). If you only will have one or two "good" watches in your lifetime, make one a nice conservative rolex.

My company hands out a oyster date 36, or oyster perpetual 39 for completing 10 years. I'll be eligible in two years. Otherwise, I'd spend my money on something like this.

Rolex looks silly under 30 unless you work on Wall Street or its a a vintage watch and handed down from Dad. Tudor is definitely something under 30 could rock. The problem with owning a rolex under 30, is that everyone will assume you're wearing a fake. That is, unless you work in a field and area where it is common (I.e. Wall Street, etc). I know lots of 27-29 year olds who own rolex and pull it off fine. They don't get accused of wearing fakes because they don't associate with anyone who would question it.

Tag, used Omega, tudor, nomos, Sinn, longines, used Cartier, etc all offer excellent value, and can be had for affordable prices of you do some homework, and can be at home in any setting, and any budget for anyone with a decent career trajectory.
>>
>>17358206
>(They tend to go up)
No, they don't. A few anomalies do not mean they all go up. Sure, they hold a larger portion of their original value compared to most other watches or jewelry, but don't go around spouting that nonsense.

Yeah they do.

Go look up what a sub sold for new in 2003, adjust for inflation, and look up what unworn examples sell for in 2017. Then do the same for the Daytona, etc.

To your point, the dressier watches don't exhibit this behavior. (Datejust, day date, yachtfagster, Celini, etc). The tool and sport watches follow this more. Especially the sub and the Daytona. It's hillarious to watch "collectors" on YouTube, pay $13,000 for a 1970's sub with sun fading and scratches from battles with sea monsters, and then jack off about how "comfy" the cheesy folded sheet metal bracelet and how legible a flat plastic crystal is without any anti reflective treatment is underwater. It's a decadent culture, but seems to keep growing as new rubes are draw. In every year.

Even Old, cheesy Air Kings are climbing like crazy.

And in comparison to literally anything short of a Patek, even if they do depreciate, it is a fraction of others. (Cartier for example).
>>17358431
That isn't a dive watch. That is an Aqua Terra. They can survive regular skindiving and occasional SCUBA diving (150 meters iirc is its rating ). But no dive bezel. The Aqua Terra is a sport watch that branched off of the sea dweller family. The sea dweller , sea dweller professional, Planet Ocean, and Ploproff are the actual bezeled omega dove watches.

Because only a small sliver of dive watch owners ever get them wet. It's hillarous to read rolexforums, and some retired police chief or insurance exec gets all worries and posts crying for advice because he forgot to take his Deep Seadweller off in the hot tub.

But leather is fine as long as you clean it and treat it. Leather bands were considered consumables back when mechanical dive watches were new and you would die if you didn't have a reliable one. Leather now can be treated to keep their condition longer before seawater starts to damage them.

Quite a few divers are sold on leather today. But for "real" diving in 2017, an electric digital dove computer is how you dive. A dive watch for "backup" is an excuse to buy one.

Ergo, even the 0.025% of owners that even get their watch wet, let alone dive, don't even need them.

The new McQueen.

I have a buddy who has one, who has a thing for square watches. It's nothing special unless you have an affinity for a specific segment of auto sport and film for a specific era. But it does stand out, and is much nicer than the original heuer. Even though the original Autavia does seem to have a circle of purists that worship it. At the end of the day, the original was heuers (not the McQueen) were prizes for sending in a few hundred cigarette box tops. That Omega Acqua Terra has hilariously shitty finishing for a $4,000 watch. You should be laughed at continuously for the rest of your existence for buying one over an in-house Tudor.

I'm absolutely in love with this 18 carat, rose gold TAG Heuer Carrera watch purchased from the beautiful city of Perth. Made with sapphire infused glass that only diamond can scratch, I've spoiled myself with this gorgeous timepiece. The calibre 16 movement has been crowned as the most successful automatic chronograph movement ever produced, completely handmade by man. It is also my very first day date watch and it will be interesting to see if it becomes an important feature that Will depend on over time. I hope you all enjoy this watch as much as I do.

>Omega
I'd just like to interject for moment.

What you're refering to as Omega, is in fact, ETA/Omega, or as I've recently taken to calling it, ETA plus Omega. Omega is not a watch manufacturer unto itself, but rather another Swiss marketing devision of a fully functioning watch conglomerate made useful by the ETA movements, Chinese cases and vital dial components comprising a full watch as defined by COSC.

Many watch owners wear a modified version of an ETA movement every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the model of ETA movement which is widely used today is often called Omega, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically an ebauche, developed by the Swatch Group.
There really is an Omega, and these people are wearing it, but it is just a cosmetic part of the watch they wear. Omega is the brand: the advertising agency that determines the names and cosmetic designs of the watches. The design is an essential part of a watch, but useless by itself; it can only function when fitted with a completed movement. Omega is normally manufactured in combination with an ETA movement: the whole watch is basically an ebauche with Chinese parts added, or ETA/Omega. All the so-called Swiss watches are really distributions of ETA movements in Chinese cases!

Don't. I know it's cheap, but don't.
Buy an honest ripoff (rolex) for your money and not this "swiss" piece of shit that has a bracelet, case, dial and hands and probably half the movement made in China and Thailand for all we know.

Many a time wandering through some airport, alone and far from home after another waste of time business trip I come across the inevitable Omega boutique in duty free, and in my weaker moments I've almost been tempted by these submariner wannabes. And they're so cheap in duty free, too!

Then I come to my senses and remember that it's a glorified, Chinese made swatch with a stupid movement.

Get a rolex. At least you can be assured that it's made where it says it is, and that it doesn't have a retarded movement with a gimmicky escapement that is there purely for marketing purposes (to try to compete with rolex, lol) rather than for any tangible benefit. It increases complexity, and thus ensures future service fuckery, and yet others that go with the tried and tested escapement types manage to go toe to toe or exceed the co-fagsual without the bullshit.

If you want to LARP James Bond get the pre coaxial plain jane ETA SM.
The 2254.50 is the last good looking semenmaster, but its price is climbing because of this. The blue wavy Brosnan sm can be had for cheap.

Still a chinese made swatch though, so be sure to buy cheap.

>Totally it's own brand and theams now.
They're owned by Rolex. They use literal Rolex cases. They put simoler movements inside (either ETAs or in-house, but cheaper than Rolex in-house).
They sell for cheaper than Rolex.

If that doesn't wualify as "discount Rolex" I don't know what does.

They're great watches and good value for money, because it has an almosr Rolex quality for a heavily discounted price.
Why do you think "discount Rolex" is a bad thing?
>>
>>17358161
>Even Omega buttfucks buyers with this.
Not "even" Omega, *especially* Omega.

It pains me to see such a great watchmaker becoming just a brandname.

All their modern "Omegas" are either Ometas or cuck-axials.

Even worse. At least OP can exercise and drop the weight. You're stuck with pencil wrists for the rest of your life.

Also, stop wearing your watch on your wrist joint. It makes you look like some dumb kid who doesn't know how to wear a watch.

Some companies use off-the-shelf watch movements from ETA, Lemania and other companies. Some companies design their movements in-house but outsource construction. Some companies build the main movement in-house but outsource complications like Dubois-Dépraz chronographs. None of this is to say outsourced movements/complications are bad. It's just how the low-end to semi-luxury watch industry is. Blame the quartz revolution.
