Need help with insuring a 1966 Mustang I intend to buy.
Do I really have to call every company I want a quote from, or is there a way to see multiple quotes at once? All the online tools seem to only go back to about 1981.
I know I'm probably being dumb, but I'd like to avoid paying through the nose if I can. Progressive quoted me 2k for 6 months, which is... high. Any and all tips would be appreciated.
Look for companies that specialize in classic car insurance
I have my 69 cutlass insured under hagerty. They are great.

those seem to be for people who have a primary car and then also a classic one. The mustang would be my only car. Still think I should take a look?

hagerty if you're not doing to daily drive it.

so am i fucked if i do daily drive it?
I've always gone through AAA, $40 a month for liability for my DD 1964 Mercury

of fucking course you are. Unless you live somewhere rural where insurance is low by default and insurance companies dont have to worry about you crashing into anyone else, it just isnt economically feasible to daily drive anything that old, and thats not counting maintenance costs.
I mean godspeed you glorious maniac, for daily driving a 66 Mustang, but dont think it wont be a pain in your ass

Find an insurance broker my dude. My dude got me the best rate by shopping all the providers, and they only make commission on the total value of the policy.

finding someone to insure it wont be the issue, finding someone who will insure it for the value that you want will be.
