No photos cuz not allowed in car but for a guy who rode dirt bikes and gave zero shits about rally, it really brought two and four wheels for me as the same in my mind.

Same reason why I think street bikers are suicidal, so are street drivers. Gotta handle the snow, sand, oil, etc. Why every child should learn on a 1-250cc.
>>

Mate how the fuck are you even allowed to drive on the road?

>no downshift
>manage to spin out like a retard without even applying much throttle

Reminds me of the video where the guy crosses his arms while trying to countersteer in his subaru wrx sti and crashes it into a tree.
>>
>>17349332

meant to be @ >>17349297
>>
>>17349332
classic lift off oversteer. any bike rider knows to slowly throttle down less you hi side.
>>
>>17349338
I wouldn't have thought lift-off oversteer would be prevalent on a (relatively) slow corner like that in a FR car, is it because of the incline?
>>
>>17349366
Number one rule on a bike is never EVER lift the rear throttle off.

Sadly said lesson is not taught to most four wheelers.

On a bike you may high side or wobble at slow speeds, in a car you feel nada except at loco speeds when you die.
>>
>>17349366
But yes if you "research" lift off oversteer you will find it is directly correlated to the the two wheel version of a high side fuck me i'm flying through the air.

By learning the dynamics of street bikes, dirt bikes, street cars, and dirt cars, you can truly master all.

>inb4homo
fuck u /o/ stop being poor
>>
>>17349332
The car produces max tq at 1800 rpm already and I wasn't going that hard.

besides, a lot of people eat shit in turn 3 because of the way the embankment slopes slightly and unsettles the ass.

my dude, buy a sub 100hp car and learn to drive, you have no business going to a racetrack.
I never understand normies going to a fucking racetrack where you have the ability to legally go as fast as possible and not worry about oncoming traffic or cops or falling off a goddamn cliff and still drive as slow as possible, THEN have the audacity to say:
>I wasn't going that hard
fuck right off. that's why you go to a track, to GO HARD motherfucker. either learn to drive beforehand and come to a track ready to rip that shit or stay the fuck home and take the bus.

I'm sorry I don't have any videos for you you fucking normalfag, closest racetrack for me is near another town and I don't film myself going wot on the touge here with others because I don't want to end up in jail.

I have a great technical road like 15km from me. it's better than said racetrack.
this road has both uphill and downhill mixed and it's twisty as fuck, one turn into another, very few straights where you can get to 120km/h. fastest turns are 80kmh at best and slowest are hairpins with some elevation.

I really despise these tracks that have meme elevation changes and embankments like this. I understand it could be argued that it adds a level of technicality and skill to the course but I think it just takes away from what is actually fun (high speed cornering).

Palmer in Massachusetts is the same way. A million different elevation changes. A million blind corners with super deep apexes that are just fucking annoying to drive.

It was fun and insanely scary.
"if u trak ure kare you'll pay 1000000 dolaringos every minut coz ull wer brakes and tyrs and shiiiit out every 5 minutuz"
People who track regularly go through a tyre set and brake pads in a season. That's it. It's only expensive if you crash.

If anyone wants to start tracking, get a dedicated track car. You'll be faster.

I'm a poorfuck, but am feeling like I'll get into stuff like this since I'm almost done with school, will be making money, and buying fast cars to track around with looks a lot more fun than the school kid street racing I see around here.

I tried googling it, but don't even know exactly what I'm looking for. I live in Utah, and know there are open roads/areas people use to set speed records, but I don't know anything about these tracks people can take their own cars to and race around for fun.

track racing is fun, but brakes and tires get expensive quick. in my pre-family years, i used to autocross the hell out of my 98SS in 2003 and 2004. any videos are long since lost to antiquity or lost during my divorce(cunt cheating whore ex wife took everything from the house when i was at work). maybe when my kids are grown up, i'll take it up again. here's hoping. also, it was a motherfucker getting a 98camaro ss to corner consistently. had 5 or 6k in the suspension alone. went through a 10 bolt rear(because 10 bolt rear), and cooked a power steering pump before going manual.

I just replaced all the ball joints and bushings, and installed some koni str.t shocks. It sounds like you went pretty far into your car suspension which is something I never have, i focused more on the drive train as I drag race sometimes. In your opinion, what should I do next for a street car/what part (s) would I feel the most improvement from at this stage?

well, you can't really have a suspension setup for drag and track, so maybe restate that question?

and it was a BMR rack, i think(bought second hand)

also, i think it's time you get a ford 8.8 in there.

had adjustable coilovers(forget the brand i finally settled on), drop spindles up front, monstrous sway bard up front and rear, poly urethane mounts, "vette" brake kit front and rear, lowered 2 inches in the rear, tubular k member up front. i'm sure i'm missing something, but again, that was going on 14 years ago.

Yeah i don't think is your car. Also, you suck at driving,
>>
>>17361155
start at local autox with a ride along instructor. from there you can ask around about tips and stuff, and maybe find info about track days nearby. that's pretty much what i did and I've been doing this for about a year or so with my cars.

>know the layout of track and mentally go through it (most autox you walk it)
>know the apexes
>sit close enough to your steering wheel so your hands are at 9 + 3 and you have a bend in your elbow so you can comfortably get a lot of rotation on steering wheel
>obviously don't get too close
>heel toe on the streets is way different from heel toe on the track when you're coming in way hotter
>turn off traction control (i guess you could argue for this either way, but i prefer off)
>don't coast on the track - you're either shifting gears, braking, or on the gas
>don't stab the brakes to 100%
>smooth throttle controls - know when you can start accelerating
>if you ever feel you are about to spin 2 feet in - clutch and brake
>in long sweepers at high speed if you suddenly let off the throttle your car is going to want to rotate
>sometimes you load up the brakes to get more weight on the front to help you turn in

these are just general tips i've learned from drivers meetings, talking to pros, and listening to instructors.
>>
>>17361268
Thank you, I'll try my best to follow your advice. Track days are expensive, so I won't get to practice for a long time, but I suppose I can still find ways to learn and practice otherwise

to be fair OP said to post a video of yourself tracking *a* car, not specifically your car
webm related
>>
>>17361155
Find an empty parking lot or good empty corner way in the boonies that no one would drive on and keep pushing yourself and learn how your car reacts to inputs and learn how important weight shifting is to keeping (or losing) traction on certain tires.
>>
>>17361268
>If you feel you are about to spin 2 feet in clutch and brake

>best tactic when losing rear wheel traction is to decelerate hard, removing rear wheel traction even more

Right
>>
>>17361268
>>17361332
"in a spin both feet in" is right, but it should be applied when the spin is irrecoverable to stop the car in the shortest distance possible and prevent the car from stalling
>>
>>17361332
Good catch - in a FWD car, if your rear starts sliding out you need to steer to the side that it's sliding out and apply moderate throttle.

Brake really early.
T1 is weird, you are more braking for T2, T1 is really gradual but T2 comes in pretty suddenly.

do you know how retarded YOU sound?
when you go to a track it is implied that you at least have the basic fundamentals of going fast figured out. You don't go to a track to learn to drive, you go to a track to drive fast and see your car's limits. If you """""""take it easy"""""""" you might as well just drive on the road.
Most tracks offer you the possibility to fuck up, spin out, and possibly just go into the field or into a tyre wall. There is literally no reason to take it easy on the track. You're not there to fucking joyride, you're there to go fast, faggot.
